Grab a local beer, enjoy great food, and soak up the vibe at this 13-acre complex filled with breweries, restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. If you end up going to enjoy the glory days we recommend stopping by Yellowhammer Brewing and Earth and Stone Pizza both in the same building and both one of our favorites in town.
Built on the bones of the century-old Martin Stove Factory, Stovehouse is Huntsville's go-to spot for food, drinks, live music, and shopping. With a variety of restaurants in the Food Garden, a rooftop bar, and the eclectic Gas Light Alley shops, there's something for everyone.
Stroll through the charming downtown area and explore local shops, restaurants, and nightlife around the courthouse square. It's a great place to grab dinner or drinks before or after the wedding. If you are looking to shop, stop by Clinton Row and say hi to our friend at Yala Avenue who makes and sells handmade goods from Nepal. If you are looking to eat there are too many options for only a short weekend. We recommend Poppy and Parliament is you want British food that is actually seasoned, the fish and chips are the best. For the cocktail lovers Sips is a refined cocktail and whiskey bar that is always excellent.
A beautiful urban park right in the heart of downtown Huntsville. Take a peaceful morning walk around the spring-fed lagoon, enjoy the ducks and fountains, or just relax on a bench and take it all in. For those with little ones that need to release some energy there is plenty of space for the them to let lose and keep your eye out for the hidden ducks, small metal ducks hidden around the park, maybe you can find them all.
If you are looking to see the beautiful fall foliage of North Alabama this is the activity for you. Sitting at 1,600 feet on the mountain, this 2,140-acre park offers gorgeous hiking trails, scenic overlooks, and waterfalls. We highly recommend Sinks to Stone Cut Trail if you need a quick but beautiful hike with a little surprise in the middle. It's the perfect way to enjoy the natural beauty of North Alabama.
You can't visit Huntsville without seeing why it's called the "Rocket City!" This is the largest space museum in the world and home to an awe-inspiring Saturn V rocket, hands-on exhibits, simulators, and the famous Space Camp. Plan for at least a half day, you'll need it.
Step into one of Alabama's most incredible underground adventures! Cathedral Caverns features one of the largest cave openings in the world, a jaw-dropping 126 feet wide and 25 feet tall. Inside, you'll find breathtaking formations including "Goliath," one of the world's largest stalagmites standing 45 feet tall, a stunning frozen waterfall, an underground river, and a room big enough to fit a football field. Guided tours last about 90 minutes along smooth, paved walkways (wheelchair and stroller accessible!), and the cave stays a comfortable 60°F year-round.
