Things To Do in Baltimore

While we fell in love IN Baltimore, we also fell in love with Baltimore and would like to share some of it with you. We would like to help you explore the city by recommending some of the best Charm City has to offer!

Things to Do

Orioles Park at Camden Yards

Come in a day early and (hopefully) see the Baltimore Orioles host game 1 of the World Series at beautiful Camden Yards! Unfortunately, the stadium isn’t offering tours anymore, so root hard the O’s make it to the Fall Classic for a chance to see one of the best ballparks in all of baseball.

Sagamore Spirits Distillery

Sagamore Spirits is home to one of the highest rated Rye whiskey distillers in the country. Owned by Under Armor founder, Kevin Plank, it is quickly becoming a landmark synonymous with Baltimore. The Rye making tour was extremely informative and the tasting tour was very fun! Very highly recommended way to spend some time drinking through Baltimore. Fun fact- this is where Christian met Lauren’s parents for the first time!

The Wire self-guided tour

Actually…better to stick to watching on Max from your couch for this one.

Edgar Allen Poe House

Poe; not just the name of the Ravens mascot, but actually a writer! Who knew?! While the wedding isn’t Halloween themed, what better way to get into the spooky mood than touring the house of the master of the macabre. Maybe even grab a pint at “The Horse You Came in On”, the favorite (and final) of Poe’s watering holes.

National Aquarium Baltimore

Located right on the harbor is the National Aquarium! Sea creatures, not just for eating!

Fells Point and Fed Hill

Self exploring more your thing? Not a problem as we can recommend the historic Federal Hill neighborhood, home to many great restaurants and bars.  Fells Point is also a personal favorite neighborhood for shopping, eating, and drinking.  These areas are highly walkable and very safe.

BMORE LICKS / Patterson Park

2437 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224

A favorite destination to satisfy your sweet tooth- they feature over 100 flavors of soft serve ice cream, and 30 rotating flavors of hard ice cream. Pick your favorite flavor, cross the street, and enjoy your treat while you stroll through the 133 acre Patterson Park. This scenic park is the oldest and one of the most historic parks in Baltimore.

Places to Eat

Anyone who knows us, knows the real reason we fell in love with Baltimore is the countless fun days and nights we spent eating and drinking our way through Charm City. We would love to recommend some to you.

Brunch

Spoons Cafe

Located in Fed Hill, Spoons has a great coffee list and the Cinnabon pancakes are a standout.

Blue Moon and Blue Moon Too

Located in Fed Hill and Fells Point, Blue Moon is a hot brunch spot whose Cap’n Crunch French toast really put this place on the map.

Miss Shirleys

Award winning southern comfort style brunch in the Inner Harbor

Dinner

The Food Market

Great restaurant with lots of great sharables and an ever-changing dinner menu, worth the short Uber ride to the pretty and walkable Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore. Missed out on a chance for dinner? Try it for Brunch!

Thames St. Oyster House

This Fells Point staple is must stop for any seafood lovers with its wide variety of oysters options, a really good Lobster Roll, and a solid crab cake.

Cross Street and Broadway Markets

Not sure what you’re in the mood for? Try one of Baltimore’s great markets like Broadway Market in Fells Point or Cross Street Market in Federal Hill, which has many new and trendy stalls from restauranteurs and local favorites…we recommend skipping out on Lexington Market though, as it's in one of the less scenic parts of town.

Upscale Eats

Looking for a more upscale meal that may require a reservation? We’ve got you covered.

Tagliata

A great place to enjoy a beautiful Italian dinner with an extensive wine list nestled in between Little Italy and Harbor East.

Sotto Sopra

This Mount Vernon eatery, the closest suggestion to the venue and recommended hotels, is a great place for more upscale Italian. Can you guess what our favorite food might be?

Libations

Is anyone thirsty?

Max’s Taphouse

A beer lovers heaven located in the heart of Fells Point with over 108 beers on tap and over 1000 bottles and cans to choose from, it’s a great place to start…or end any night!

Rye

A great compromise for when the beer lovers in your group want to go to Max’s, but you need to scratch your cocktail itch just across the street in Fells Point.

Sagamore Pendry

Want to feel fancy while drinking fancy cocktails at a fancy hotel on the waterfront of Fells Point, owned by the billionaire founder of Under Armor? The Pendry is your spot; stop in for a drink or just engage in the...fancy.

Literally any bar in Fells Point!

There are tons of them and they all can be great! If you like the experience of drinking with historic cobblestone streets on one side and Baltimore harbor on the other try any of the Fells favorites. Many of the Fells Point bars will have live music on a weekend evening. Feeling local? Order an Orange Crush!

The Bluebird

Lauren and Christian’s favorite cocktail bar is located in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore. A great choice to pair with a nice dinner at The Food Market.
