When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVP's will open in late-January. Please RSVP online by March 27th.

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal cocktail attire. We want our guests to look their best and feel comfortable doing it! May weather in the Kansas City area is usually pleasant, but bring a light jacket for cooler weather at night. If you have any questions or even concerns regarding attire, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Women: Mid/full length dresses or formal cocktail attire recommended. Please avoid mini-dresses. Men: Dress shirts, dress pants, and a jacket/blazer recommended. Please avoid jeans and non-collared shirts.

Can I bring a plus one?

Those with a plus one will have it listed on their invitations and RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones and would love to celebrate with them, our wedding will be an adults-only (18+) event (with the exception of kids specified on your invitation). We hope you will take this opportunity to enjoy a date night and we appreciate you making prior arrangements.

Where are you registered?

Answer

You can find our wedding registry right here on our wedding website. Just click on the 'Registry' tab at the top of the page! Thank you so much for your friendship, love, and being there for us. We appreciate all gifts big or small, and the best gift you could give us is celebrating with us soon!

Do you have hotel accomodations?

Answer

Please see the 'Travel' tab for hotel blocks. If anyone ventures outside the hotel blocks and has questions about the area, please contact Alec (abeatty1996@gmail.com).

Is there transportation to and from the airport and hotels?

Answer

Both hotel blocks will provide shuttles to the venue the day of the wedding. We will provide more information regarding the timing of the shuttles in May. The Hilton Garden Inn also provides a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Please visit the "Travel" tab for more information regarding the hotels and transportation.

Will food and drink be served?

Answer

Yes! The cocktail hour and reception will feature an open bar with beer, liquor, and wine. Dinner and dessert will be served for all guests at the reception. If you have any food allergies, please communicate to Alec and Rachel.

When should I arrive to the venue on May 15th?

Answer

We recommend arriving around 4:00 pm. We encourage guests to arrive in plenty of time, as the ceremony will start at 4:30 pm. There is also plenty of parking at the venue for those bringing a vehicle. Please note, vehicles are not allowed to be parked at the Hawthorne House overnight, so please have a plan for getting home.
