Yup! We'll share private vows about 1 month prior to the reception, but we still want a Happily Ever After Party with our family and friends. This is a reception-only celebration. Come prepared to dance, eat/drink, and celebrate; there will not be a ceremony.
Festive! So, what does that mean? We're hoping for a laidback but special night. Think fun and colorful cocktail attire and accessories. We're expecting temperatures to be in the mid to upper 70s. If you're more comfortable in a summer dress, we love that! If want to wear a jacket and tie, go for it! Otherwise, consider slacks and a collared shirt. Again, fun colors are encouraged. If the weather cooperates, this will be indoor/outdoor so plan shoes accordingly. Flip-flops will be provided for those who need a mid-dance change of footwear.
We will be having a whole pig roast with vegetarian and non-pork options for guests with restricted diets. Please indicate any dietary restrictions on your RSVP. The amount of alternatives will depend on RSVP responses, and we don't want hangry guests!
There will be parking at the venue. For those who don't plan to drive at the end of the night, we will have an hourly shuttle service from 9pm to midnight to bring guests to the Stillwater hotels where we have blocked rooms (please see Travel). You are welcome to leave your car overnight and pick it up the next day. Ride sharing apps and taxi are also available.
We love all of your kiddos but this is an adults-only affair. We appreciate your understanding.
Please let the bride or groom know ASAP. There are specific deadlines that require accurate headcounts. That being said, we understand some plans change last minute and cannot be anticipated.
We want this to be a safe event for all, especially those guests who may be especially vulnerable to significant illness. Both bride and groom are physicians and feel strongly that vaccination is the best way to prevent COVID-19. For the health and safety of ourselves, our guests, and our patients that we will return to caring for, we appreciate guests being fully vaccinated if attending our reception. That being said, if you are feeling ill on the day of the event, we kindly request that you not attend.
