Beatrice and Justin first met in 2019 when she moved to Indianapolis for her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. Justin was in his last year of Emergency Medicine training, and Bea worked for a month in the Emergency Department. Justin caught Bea's eye between patients, and she remembers their first hello. Justin does not.... Justin remembers them meeting Bea about 6 months later, on the classy and successful dating app, Hinge. It was April 2020, an interesting time for two medical trainees to say the least. Well, Justin messaged Bea with how much he wished things were open, so they could get together. Always resourceful, Bea mentioned Indiana's fun open-container law, which allows carrying open alcohol in public. Justin loved the idea. On their first date, they shared a beer while walking the Monon Trail. Neither of them wanted it to end, so they also went for ice cream. They both agree that their second date, a picnic in White River Park, was when they knew they had something special. 3 years later, after Bea unknowingly sabotaged his first proposal attempt (we won't get into that..), Justin brought Bea back to the Monon trail to pop the question. Despite being convinced to wear all white, she didn't reaaaallly know it was coming. He then truly surprised her with an engagement celebration with some of their closest friends in Indianapolis. This special night is featured in the above video. Their sense of adventure will take them to the mountains for an elopement prior to their reception, but that doesn't make them any less excited to celebrate at their Happily Ever After Party with you all!
