“Love bears all things” 1 Corinthians 13:7 Jessie has been obsessed with polar bears (henceforth, “polies”) her entire life–just ask her mom Jan about the great polie search of 1994. As she grew up, Jessie’s family and friends taught her that it was unkind to be a bear-elitist, and in adulthood she has since widened her love of polies to all ursine creatures (Hey there, koalas! You’re not actually bears, but you’ve got all the koala-fications!). Prior to 2007, Brendan just liked bears. Once he met Jessie, he opened his heart to not only to her, but to bears as well and is now also a polie-aficionado. Want to reveal your inner bear spirit to us? Don your favorite bear wear and ursine accessories on August 18th, 2018! It’s a bear affair!
Not naked, we guess? Or you're welcome to skinny-dip once the stars come out ;P Again, the vibe we're going for is aggressively chill. The temperature has ranged from 46°F to 96°F so far this summer. Check the forecast before you pack, and then wear what feels good. We suggest: sundresses, leggings, skorts, oxford shirts, khakis, Bermuda shorts, Hawaiian shirts, flannels, fleeces, wind-breakers, swim suits, sturdy footwear (none of camp is paved), hats, sunglasses, and a flexible folding chair if you like. And of course, your favorite bear wear and ursine accessories!
Yes! Our wedding vibe is aggressively chill. We're having a relaxed, outdoor wedding. At camp. By our beloved Beaver Mountain Lake. In the Maine woods. On an August evening. With a pizza truck. And a keg.
August 18th, 2018 is 81818, which is a palindrome- a word, phrase, or number sequence that is identical read forward and backward. And the number 8 turned sideways is a lemniscate, also known as an infinity symbol. Together the palindrome and the lemniscate represent our enduring love for each other and God's infinite love for all His children.
No, not at all! The menu choice part of the RSVP is just to help Dexter, our pizza truck guy, have a general idea for ingredient purchasing. There will be pizza aplenty!
It's BYOB, as in booze. We recommend you pack the strong stuff in your suitcase or stop by the IGA on your way.
