Bride
Brittany has grown up a lot from the little girl she was at 7 years old. She has her incredible dad to thank for that. He raised Brittany as his own and has always treated Brittany fairly giving Brittany many opportunities to succeed in life. She grew up mostly in Louisiana but moved around shortly after her baby sister was born to various states. She has called Auburn home for the last 4 years. Pursing an ADN at Southern Union has been challenging for Brittany but she has overcome a lot in her life and has big plans to become and RN and eventually become a distinguished Auburn Alum eventually earning her BSN. Mark is very special to Brittany and she has a lot to learn from him.
Groom
Mark is a special guy often being the most positive person in the room. He works hard and loves what he does. He loves to cook and hang out with his dogs Callie and Ghost. Mark and Brittany bonded over their love of dogs and since then, it has been a fun ride for the both of them. Mark graduated from Auburn University and has the great pleasure of working their. When Mark isn't working, he is supporting Brittany in her next endeavor or taking care of her.
Maid of Honor
Abbi is Brittany's baby sister. She couldn't say "I Do" without her sister standing by her side telling her what to do. Abbi has always been the big sister to Brittany when she is upset. Abbi is so excited to be the MOH for her sister.
Best Man/Father of the Groom
Lan has always been there for his son even without getting the chance to spend much of their first years together. The summers were spent on the lake, in addition to family vacations, trips to Europe, Mexico and road trips out west. All this fun couldn’t be without a little character building through property repair and maintenance through ADL properties where there was always a recurring theme each summer; spoiled tenets who hadn’t quite learned how to use a broom, mop, or locate a breaker box. Mark never complained and was proud to learn and work for a fair wage as he could always count on a hearty lunch with soda, with good pay and quality father/son time.
Matron of Honor
Sarah...yes, there is more than one. Something about those Sarah girls. Sarah and Brittany have been friends since Brittany and them were in high school. No, they didn't attend high school together. They attended a military camp together and let's just say Brittany never let Sarah out of her sight. Sarah always loves to say Brittany is her southern belle friend. Brittany traveled to Sarah's wedding (her very first wedding she has ever attended). Brittany saved her money and made sure to watch her best friend say "I do" to her now husband Jamie. You can probably find Brittany and Sarah busting out on the dance floor. Sarah was the obvious choice for Matron of Honor and Brittany is thrilled to have all the help she can get with Sarah.
Groomsman
Mark had to wait awhile before he actually had a blood sibling to call his own, and Sam did a great job of making up lost time through video games, massive games of axis and allies and laser tag, and just being an awesome young man. Sam excels at life in general. Smart, good looking, hard working and always willing to help. Sam is a model citizen, brother and is planning on attending an Ivy League school this fall if he doesn’t pursue a degree at Auburn. Mark couldn’t be more proud of the young man Sam has become, and was the main reason Mark picked Auburn for his home.
Bridesmaid
Brittany hasn't known Sarah very long but she has helped Brittany overcome a lot. She is always Brittany's first call especially when it means sushi lunch. When Brittany was thinking about who she wanted to be there, Sarah was the obvious choice. She is Brittany's person that live in Auburn. I couldn't imagine not having this amazing woman not standing by my side watching me marry the man of my dreams.
Groomsman
Mark met Dan in Auburn 6 years ago at a pizza company and formed a quick bond over their love of dogs, xbox, sports and the outdoors while trying to get their school, career and life paths figured out. Dan's husky Marnie and Mark’s lab Callie formed a quick bond. While Mark and Marnie formed an intense bond, it’s a running joke among Dan’s friends that Mark only likes Dan because he is obsessed with Marnie, but I must quell this the record once and for all. Dan has been there for Mark the most when he needed a stand up guy, and Mark has been really grateful of their friendship over the years and he looks forward to future dog adventures and fantasy football domination.
Bridesmaid
Alix Bikker...one of Brittany's friends she met through her time on the Teen Leadership Council for the Air Force Reserve. Alix has always been there for Brittany. She has made every effort to stay involved in Brittany's life while pursuing her dreams of PA School and working for the NIH. I'm so thrilled to have Alix fly down to join me on the beach.
Groomsman
Agee was technically Marks first sibling. I’ve never put much stake on the step-brother, half-brother dynamic as family is family to me and Agee has been family for a long time. They grew up together in the summers at lake Martin and have always been there for each other over the years. They play Xbox to stay in touch and always had an awesome friendship and bond.
Junior Bridesmaid
Mila is Brittany's first and oldest niece. Mila loves her Aunt BB. Mila is too old to be the flower girl so what better role to be by her aunt's side than to help her down the aisle. Mila loves to take photos and be everyone's friend. I'm so excited Mila is getting the opportunity to walk down the aisle with me.
Groomsman
Leland and Mark grew up together in Baltimore and built character through skateboarding, warhamner, and practicing their flame throwing skills on stuff toy “m and m” gifts from Mark’s Mom. While Ana was somewhat traumatized by Mark and Leland’s executive decision to incinerate marks childhood/baby toys. We knew that deep down, with fire, character is built. And Leland and Mark built a solid friendship through the ashes of our outdated childhood toys that did have a ton of sentimental value to my Mom. Mom, I truly am sorry. You will have to ask Leland about his remorse level with regards to our teenage pyromaniac ways.
Seashell Girl
Avery is Brittany's second niece. She will be the one laying down seashells on the beach. Brittany is so excited to see Avery join her in the wedding. Avery loves her Aunt BB so much and she can't wait to watch Brittany tie the knot with Mark even if it means gross kissing.
Mother of the Groom
Ana is such a kind generous person who has a warm heart for animals both dogs and cats. When she met Brittany, she was intrigued by her dog's favorite sport dock diving and made the time to come watch him. When Ana is not home with her two cats and older german shepherd, she works as an architect in Maryland. She also holds the wonderful title of Auburn Grad because who doesn't love the Plains. Ana is a big help to Brittany and Mark as they begin renovations on the house they plan to live in...so thankful for all her support and love! She has always been there for her son and Mark owes her a lot of credit for the man he has become as she raised him to be kind and generous to all humans and animals.
Ring Bearer
My best friend. My emotional support animal. My competition dog. Waffle had to be in the wedding in some way. What better way to have two dog people get married than with a dog carrying the rings down the aisle. Don't worry about Waffle running off, Mark is in charge of him. You may hear him whine a bit because he loves his momma but it just speaks to relationship Brittany and Waffle have. Waffle is also a huge part of the day Brittany got engaged to Mark. He really is a huge part of their relationship.
Honor Attendant
Mark's dogs. Callie is an Aussie/Lab Mix. She is 13 years old. She loves her dad a whole lot and refuses to leave his side. Her favorite place to lay is the downstairs bathroom behind the door. Ghost is a Husky/Malamute Mix. He is 2 years old. He rather lay on the couch away from everyone else. He is very independent but he still has wolf tendencies so Mark has to keep a close eye on him. He is not a fan of buggies or strollers or anything with wheels.
Mother of the Bride
Brittany's mom has always been her best friend through life even if she wanted to kill Brittany a few times. She was thrilled to see Brittany find someone like Brittany's dad. Mark is perfect for Brittany and Brittany's mom cannot imagine her daughter being with anyone more perfect than Mark.
Stepmother of the Groom
There is quite a funny story about Stacy and Brittany. Brittany often was a big fan of Mattie, Stacy's dog, as Mattie was a big fan of belly rubs. Brittany talked to Stacy each time she came in. One day when Stacy came in, she told Stacy about this new guy she was dating. Funny enough, it was right before Brittany took her lunch break and learned that Stacy, Brittany's favorite customer, would later become her future stepmother in law. Mark, Brittany and Stacy all have a huge love of dogs and Mattie (Brittany's and Mark Favorite) thinks that we were all brought together for this very reason. I never imagined my favorite customer would be my future family. Mark appreciates Stacy for all she does for our local animals and they both volunteer at Lee County Humane Society weekly.
Father of the Bride
David is the absolute best role model for Brittany. He has encouraged Brittany, loved Brittany as his own flesh and blood, and made Brittany so happy. If it wasn't for David, Brittany wouldn't know what a real husband was. David is every bit of perfect to Brittany as a dad and Brittany thinks that Mark is David's clone because he treats Brittany as if she was the only woman in the world. Brittany is so thrilled to have her dad walk her down the aisle in front of all of their family. It is truly something Brittany has dreamed of for years.
Stepsister of the Groom
Jonah is the glue of the family. She creates the silly moments and loves to tease her brother Sam who often is used to his big brother tricks. Jonah often says she is gonna do better than Sam but in all honesty, Jonah is very proud of her family. It's just who she is. She is also is an avid sports player, and enjoys basketball, soccer, climbing, the lake, and is going to outgrow her entire family soon, Mark included.
Stepsister of the Groom
Mairin and Mark grew up together in Baltimore and she was the sane and normal one of the Mark, Leland and Mairin Trio. While the boys spent their time lighting things of fire and getting in trouble. Mairin focused on school, helping her parents and practicing her Opera voice. While she and Mark were not aware of this at the time, she was an early influence and motivator of his. Mark has always enjoyed music but has never had much confidence in his signing voice. Hearing her perfect her tone and octaves over the year as really helped Mark with his music. Mark has always been very grateful of Mairin for her kindness and supporting words over the years. She lives in Maryland with her dogs and partner Owen and has recently started an amazing cookie box delivery company.
