Mark was volunteering at Petsmart with Lee County Humane Society on a Sunday morning. Brittany worked as the cashier at Petsmart. She knew one of the staff members, Jill. She always said hello to Jill and the dogs as she was a huge lover of rescue dogs. Mark spoke to Brittany and Brittany flirted a bit with Mark. Another week passed and they saw each other at the next Lee County Humane Society Volunteer event at Petsmart. This time, Mark and Brittany spoke more. Mark purchased an oversized mimosa dog toy (that Waffle later tore up at a dock competition) and Mark later friended Brittany on Facebook. Brittany decided to accept Mark's request as she liked his personality. Brittany was determined to get more experience in dog training and she put out a request for anyone who made need help with their dog. Mark sent Brittany a message about needing help and they met. To be honest, Brittany was excited but super nervous and was even a few minutes late because of how nervous she was. Brittany assisted Mark with his dog and they went their separate ways. Mark invited Brittany on an outing for Mardi Gras in downtown Auburn with their dogs. It was kind of crazy but also fun. Then, Mark asked to take Brittany on a real date and it was a date that Brittany never forgot. Mark invited his two dogs and Brittany's dog. It was at an Auburn park with signs that said no dogs allowed but Mark happily disobeyed and they took a walk around. Then, Mark made a picnic with Brittany and their dogs. From that moment on, Mark and Brittany's relationship with each other would grow each week as they spent more and more time together.
