Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 25, 2026 Because we’ll be gathering far from home, we kindly ask for your response a bit earlier than tradition calls for. This helps us finalize plans and make any needed adjustments ahead of time, so we can warmly welcome you in Cebu with everything thoughtfully prepared.

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be indoors in the Ocean Pavilion at the Shangri-La Mactan at 4pm. The reception will be held outdoors at the Golf Helipad at Shangri-La Mactan, following the ceremony. In case of rain, we also have an indoor space reserved on-site as a backup venue. Please be prepared to bring any necessary items, such as bug spray, sunscreen, or fans, for your comfort.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on the invitation. Your invitation will be addressed to 'You and Guest' if a plus one has been included.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we love your children, we are only able to accommodate the children of our immediate family and wedding party at the ceremony and reception. We hope you understand and can still come to celebrate with us!

Question

When should we book our flights?

Answer

Best Time to Book: We recommend booking your flight between December 2025 and March 2026. This is a good time to find a balance between price and seat availability. Last Possible Month: The last possible month to book while still having a chance at a good rate would be April. By May or June, the flights will be considerably more expensive.

Question

Do I need a visa to travel to the Philippines?

Answer

United States citizens traveling to the Philippines do not need a visa for a stay of up to 30 days. However, you do need a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond your planned stay and a confirmed ticket for your return journey or onward travel.

Question

Is the tap water safe to drink?

Answer

We don't recommend drinking tap water in the Philippines (and other countries in South East Asia if you plan to country hop). It's best to stick to bottled water.

Question

Will I need help communicating with the locals?

Answer

Communication is not a barrier in the Philippines since a large majority of the country speaks English.
