Quentin and I met 13 years ago at Circuit City. I worked in customer service and he worked in the car audio department. Quentin was in the break room on lunch planning his trip to Vegas for his 21st birthday as I walked into the breakroom. We spoke to each other, but didn't really think much of it. As I returned back to the customer service counter I received a phone call asking if we could exchange numbers. We exchanged numbers and he told me I'll contact you when I return home from Vegas. Me being me I wasn't expecting him to call. A week went by and I received a phone call and it was him, he asked me to meet him at the Labor Day Classic after party at club blue. We met up; had ourselves a real good time, and HERE WE ARE TODAY!!!
This day was one of the most difficult days to accomplish just for the fact that Brandi is so nosey & tries to figure out everything. The day started off as planned, everything is in place & kept under wraps. We’re in New Orleans with all our friends & family including our dog zip. We had dinner reservations at 8 p.m., but three hours before the reservation I get a call from my cousin telling me they let the dog out & he ran away. Not only is he gone but has been gone for about an hour. I rush over to the house to try to find my dog thats been missing for over an hour. On top of that I have to keep it away from Brandi so her energy is not ruined for what I have planned at dinner. Two hours go by & I have yet to find my dog & reservations are in a hour. So I am forced to push the reservations back, and continue to search. While this is going on my cousin decides to call Brandi & tell her the dog is missing. I’m seconds away from just cancelling the dinner & proposal cause I knew Brandi wasn’t doing anything if we didn’t find our dog. Another hour go by & just when I’m about to call everything off my phone rings & my cousins are yelling we found him. Now, everybody is emotionally drained from running around New Orleans looking for Zip. Since Zip has been found I can continue with my plans on making this a night she will never forget. At dinner I have the waiters bring some flowers to handout & had everybody give them to Brandi as an small portion of love & happiness she brings to their lives as well as mine. Her father passed when she was 6 & the stories her family tells about him shows that he was a huge impact in her life, and also lets me know I have some huge shoes to fill. So I had a picture of him blown up so he could be apart of the special moment of me asking her to marry me. As the picture comes out. I explain to her the meaning behind the picture being blown up AND THEN I POPPED THE question " WILL YOU DO ME THE HONOR OF BEING MY WIFE?" and she said “YES”.
