JRDN is fresh, cool, clean and upbeat. In the evening, grab a cocktail and watch the sunset (which Pacific Beach is famous for). Walking distance from Nick's first apartment in PB, this is also the first spot Nick took Alex on a date!

Our favorite beach! This is also where we took our engagement photos as pictured on this website :)
Located in La Jolla (pronounced "la hoya"), Torrey Pines Golf Course sits on the coastal cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and is recognized as the premier municipal golf course owned and operated by a city. It is named after the Torrey Pine, a rare tree that grows in the wild only along this local stretch of the coastline in San Diego County and on Santa Rosa Island. It offers two picturesque and, due to its yearly hosting of the PGA TOUR's Farmers Insurance Open event, widely recognizable championship 18-hole golf courses. It is surely the most accessible public facility for the die-hard enthusiast wishing to play at a world-renown facility that nearly all golfers know by name. Torrey Pines was the site of perhaps the most memorable modern-day U.S. Open Championship, when in 2008, under the typically brutal conditions of this major tournament, injured and hobbling Tiger Woods defeated Rocco Mediate during their sudden-death playoff after 90 grueling holes of exciting golf.
Airy-industrial beer hall serving cocktails, wine, pizza, charcuterie & cheese plus sports on TVs.
Oscar’s Mexican Seafood makes a mean fish taco, great ceviche, and has four locations around the city. This location is closest to downtown but we love grabbing some food from either of the Pacific Beach locations and eating while watching the sunset!

Liberty Station is a mixed-use development in Point Loma on the site of the former Naval Training Center San Diego. It has a waterfront location, on a boat channel off of San Diego Bay, just west of the San Diego Airport and a few miles north of Downtown San Diego. The 361-acre project includes several distinct districts: a retail and commercial district, a promenade focused on nonprofit activities, an educational district, a residential district, a hotel district, an office district, and a park/open space area along the boat channel. The Naval Training Center site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and many of the individual structures are designated as historic by the city of San Diego. Dozens of the historical buildings are being adapted for stores, offices, schools, and other purposes.
1,200-acre urban park for its world-class zoo, restful cultivated areas, museums in refined Spanish Revival buildings and live shows. Billed as a landscape of arts and culture, this isn't your average park. A historic carousel, miniature railway, Spanish Village, and museums make it at least a full day out. There’s a tapestry of gardens around the park, planted with more than 350 plant species hand-selected at the turn of the 20th century by the botanist Kate Sessions, the “Mother of Balboa Park”. An emblem for the park and San Diego is the Botanical Building, one of many splendid holdovers from the 1915-16 Panama-California Exposition.
Great for lounging, spa services, & lunch!
The views are worth the drive, the memorial is a great tribute to our nation's veterans.
