Thank you all for the love and support you have shown us throughout these unforeseen circumstances. Never in a million years would we have imagined this is how our wedding experience would play out, but envisioning that final momentous day when we can safely celebrate with everyone we love the most has brought smiles to our faces on even the most difficult days. We are so grateful for each and every one of you... and promise you, it’ll be worth the wait 😉 With love, The Future Mr. & Mrs. Bauer
It was April 2015 in Palm Springs, and some of the biggest music artists in the world were set to take the stage at the best and biggest 3-day country music festival, Stagecoach. Alex was celebrating her birthday with a few girlfriends, and little did she know that was where she would soon meet Nick, who happened to be staying just 10 minutes away. After stopping by a house party hosted by one of the girl's little brothers (Best Man, Garret Haffey) on their way into the festival grounds, Nick immediately caught Alex’s eye, and she seemed to catch his… because within 5 minutes upon arriving Nick was introducing himself and challenging Alex to a game of good ol' beer pong. The two got to know each other throughout the evening (which included lots singing & dancing to Dierks Bentley and ZZ Top), and they ended the night by swapping Snapchat usernames. With Alex living in Los Angeles and Nick in San Diego, the two kept in touch the months following; Snaps turned into texts, texts into calls, and calls soon became frequent 2-hour drives and weekend visits. The following January, Alex was offered a job in San Diego and the rest is history 💖
