Katie and Jerry are navigating the challenges of maintaining the health and safety of their loved ones while finalizing their wedding plans. They also realize that they can’t entirely mitigate the risk. As of 1 July, California’s Department of Public Health asks you do the following: Delay travel until you’re fully vaccinated If you’re not fully vaccinated, but choose to travel, get tested before and after While they are both fully vaccinated, they understand not everyone who is attending will be. With that in mind, they respectfully request that if unvaccinated, you get a negative Covid test prior to attending the festivities. Katie and Jerry look forward to celebrating with everyone, and encourage those of you who are not yet vaccinated to do so prior to the wedding!
As of 1 July, California’s Department of Public Health has updated statewide masking guidance to match the CDC’s guidance, lifting California’s mask requirements for vaccinated individuals starting on June 15. Vaccinated people are able to come together without masks in most circumstances. People who are unvaccinated must continue to wear a mask indoors in public settings to protect themselves and others. While Katie and Jerry are both fully vaccinated, they understand not everyone who is attending will be. With that in mind, they respectfully request that if unvaccinated, you get a negative Covid test prior to attending the festivities.
The ceremony and reception will be indoors. Attire is semi-formal: tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses, but wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and ready to party on the dance floor. Rehearsal Dinner: Dress code is California casual - polos, hawaiian shirts, sun dresses, dressy rompers, cocktail dresses.
The church, reception, and hotels listed on the Travel page are all within a fifteen minute walk or less from each other. Although there won't be shuttles provided by us, San Diego is very Uber and Lyft-friendly.
