Maid of Honor
BFFs since 7th grade! Tameka and Keyana were named "Frik & Frak" and passed as twins all through high school! Sometimes even their own family members would confuse them! They have so much in common and share a passion for dance and creative writing. Keyana always says that she maintains a journal so that Tameka can write her best-selling biography one day! Their friendship is timeless and Keyana knew this special day would not be complete without Tameka by her side.

Tiya and Keyana are 2/3 of the "Fly Girl" crew and were raised side by side! Since neither one has a sister, the other quickly filled that void, bringing them closer than ever! Everyone knows that these are two cousins you just can't separate! As often as she can, Keyana travels to Salisbury, MD to spend time with Tiya and her beautiful daughters. Their mantra is “Me and you, us never part; Ma-ki-da-da. Me and you, us have one heart; Ma-ki-da-da!” After meeting Basui for the first time, Tiya quickly gave her nod of approval!
Groomsman
The best way to describe Lamont is, he’s a 47 year old lifelong NY Knicks and Janet Jackson fan. He is Basui’s older brother, the middle child of the family and a true jokester. He is the father of a beautiful daughter and two handsome sons. By day, Lamont is a NYC EMT (as all the Robinson men are!) and an independent filmmaker in his spare time. He has a full-length movie called “Legends of Brooklyn”, which can be found on Youtube. Fun Fact: Keyana was cast in his short film, “Blue Devils,” which you can also check out online.
Bridesmaid
Eva met Keyana 15 years ago on their first day of work with Child Protective Services. From their first encounter, It felt like they had been friends all their lives! They clicked right away. Eva realized early on that they shared the same fundamental values of what constitutes a true friend. They built a friendship of love with wonderful memories, especially of painting the town red! After moving to NJ from St Louis, Eva and her children were welcomed into the “Jones” clan with open arms. As far as Eva can see, Keyana’s vulnerability, creativity and big heart, makes her the total package that Basui should be happy to receive. It is with great honor that Eva be part of their journey to say “I Do.”
Groomsman
Bernard is the eldest of the Robinson son trio. He lives on Long Island with his wife Connie and their two sons, Elijah and Christian. Married for 22 years, Bernard is thrilled to see his younger brother taking this huge next step in his life. In the 90s, the two were part of a rap group, called Blackstract, where they bonded over conscious rhymes mixed to jazz-inspired beats. The group performed all over NYC and received international attention as well. Later on, Bernard traded his career in music for a career in healthcare, where he currently holds a top leadership position.
Flower Girl
Kai is the god-daughter of the Bride. Their favorite shared moment is when Keyana choreographed a dance for Kai’s 3rd grade talent show. Kai helped by adding her little touches and this significant moment helped build her confidence. From there, Kai began taking dance classes and has performed in several school plays. Kai is so excited to do her part in making Keyana’s day special, especially since the wedding will take place on her birthday weekend! Kai will be 13 on September 5th. Happy Birthday Beautiful!
Ring Bearer
Basui enlisted the help of his two nephews to be in charge of Ring Security. Jaxon (Age 4) enjoys cars, construction vehicles, emergency vehicles (ambulance, police cars, rescue helicopters, etc.), numbers and running. While Malcolm (Age 2), will be 3 on August 26th, and enjoys everything dinosaurs! He is really, really into dinosaurs! On occasion, he likes vehicles too and "yellow noodles"(aka mac-n-cheese). On the day of the wedding, the Bride & Groom are looking forward to seeing how much these two cooperate with walking (or running!) down the aisle.
