We're getting married!

We met just like everyone does these days... online! Sydney made a Hinge account the week her second semester of law school started. A little while after setting up her account with multiple pictures with Rosy, she realized she had her *first* like (or whatever Hinge calls it) from a red-headed firefighter named Dylan. The rest is history! We've successfully balanced law school, Sydney's summers in DC, multiple fire departments, Dylan's volunteer fire chief position, and more in the past 2.5 years. At this point, we could probably do the 45-minute drive between Sydney's apartment in Winston-Salem and Dylan's home in Mayodan in our sleep (but we won't). Sydney loves cheesy romance books and Hallmark movies, so Dylan popped the question early Christmas morning with Rosy asleep next to all the opened presents. We spent Christmas Day driving around in matching Christmas pajamas, surprising both sides of our families with the good news! Rosy is so excited to have her two favorite people married and permanently in one home together! Once Sydney graduates from law school and takes the North Carolina State Bar (fingers crossed she passes!), we plan to move closer to Winston-Salem to make our commutes a little shorter.
