Kirkwood is surrounded by big mountains. I hear walking to the tops of them (or between them) can be fun

Discs are available to rent at the General Store, open daily from 8am - 5pm.
Boating
Boating available at Caples Lake, Silver Lake and Kirkwood Lake
Visit Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is the largest Alpine lake in North America. It is 1,645 feet deep, 22 miles long, 12 miles wide with 75 miles of shoreline. It is the second deepest lake in America, next to Oregon’s Crater Lake Its ~40 min from Kirkwood. You can hang out at the beach, rent a boat, kayak, or look at it. There is also more good hiking nearby
Emerald Bay
Emerald Bay is a particularly pretty spot on lake tahoe. You can look at the lake, or hike upwards from there. Try not to get eaten by a bear before the wedding day (after is fine)
