What is the dress code?

It's in the mountains, so bring your nicest zip-off cargo pants, dressiest hiking boots, Patagonia rain jacket, and 3-5 liters of water. Just kidding - Cocktail attire But do note: there is some minor off-roading to get the ceremony, so consider some practical footwear

Will there be weather?

Answer

Probably. Kirkwood is in the mountains at 8k feet, and has highly variable weather. It will likely be warm during the day but can get quite chilly at night (avg high of 83F, low of 48F), so bring warm jackets. It could rain. It could snow. Hopefully not. Our ceremony and reception have indoor options in the event of inclement weather.

There are black bears in the sierras. Dont leave food in your car unattended. If you see a baby bear, dont pick it up. gpt says: If you see a black bear, your primary goal is to remain calm and avoid provoking it. Back away slowly while making noise, and if the bear approaches, stand your ground, make yourself look bigger, and make more noise. Never run, as this could trigger a chase response But dont worry, because unless they are provoked, black bears are not aggressive towards humans.
