Sometimes all it takes to find your true love is swiping right on the right person. Initial conversation was full of laughs and a pretend fight by the flagpole which ended in a breakfast date set up. Neither of us knowing that it would be the best first date of our lives. From the Egg & I parking lot to our first kiss at the end of the night, we both knew that it would be the start of something more meaningful.
First Impression: "Don't screw this up. Don't screw this up. She's beautiful, intelligent, passionate, and most importantly a stand up comic. EVERYTHING YOU'VE ALWAYS WANTED! DON'T SCREW THIS UP!" After drinking my first coffee and not being able to order for 15 minutes, singing along to Taylor Swift (of all people), getting destroyed by hurricane force winds in a pumpkin patch, meeting her Mom and sharing conspiracy stories, and sharing our first kiss (to the movie Interstellar - such a romantic film), I knew the Pinterest Model lying next to me was someone I could see myself marrying.
December 2nd, 2018 at the Delachaise wine bar on St. Charles Ave. We were hanging out with a couple of friends and having a great evening. There was a moment when Jacob and I were alone sitting in a romantic, Christmas light setting, staring into each others eyes. I took a chance, because the moment just felt right, I asked him to marry me. He was surprised at first, then he was in denial because he wanted to propose to me first. After a bit of self battling, we were driving down St. Charles to home, he pulls over with tears in his eyes and said, "let's do this. It's you and it will always be you."
