Bald Head Island Ferry
Bald Head Island is a vehicle-free island. As such, you will need to take a ferry over from the Deep Point Marina Ferry Terminal. Round trip ferry tickets are $23 for adults, $12 for children ages 3 - 12 and free for children ages 2 and under. Plan to arrive at the ferry terminal at least 30 minutes before your planned departure time to allow time to drop off luggage, park your vehicle and purchase your ferry tickets. Ferries leave the mainland on the hour and leave the island on the half-hour, from 7 A.M - 10:30 P.M, most nights. Parking is available at Deep Point Marina at a rate of $12 a day. Please be sure to make a tram reservation for your arrival to and from the island as soon as you secure your housing. You can find all necessary ferry information on the website linked above.

Airports
Wilmington International Airport is the closest major airport to Bald Head Island, NC. (30 minute drive from Wilmington to Southport, NC) You can rent a car or take an Uber/Lyft. However, pricing will fluctuate with demand. Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is 1.5 hours away from the marina and offers the same ground transportation as Wilmington airport. Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is a 2.5 hour drive to the marina but has a larger selection of flights to chose from at a lower price.

WHERE TO STAY
With no hotels and no cars on the island, Bald Head Island is truly a unique place to get away. While there are a couple B&B's (The Marsh Harbour Inn and The Inn at Bald Head Island), most accommodations are either rental homes or villas. Most rentals include at least one golf cart and in some cases two. Renting a house with a group of people can be a lot of fun and also helps reduce cost.
