Hoback Sports in the town of Jackson will get you all geared up for an awesome day of single-track riding. The local favorite spot is Cache Creek. Wheel Wranglers is a great option for touring bikes, and they'll provide you with a map of the town bike paths. They also rent electric bikes! There is an absolutely stunning bike path (relatively flat!) from the town of Jackson that goes directly to the park with gorgeous views of the Tetons the entire ride - would highly recommend!
The options are endless for short excursions and epic adventures in the park! Some of our favorite hikes include the Jenny Lake Loop (tag on Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point), Taggart and Bradley Lakes, String and Leigh Lake, Phelps Lake (don't miss the cliff jumping rock!), Delta Lake, Amphitheater and Surprise Lakes, Cascade Canyon, Paintbrush Canyon, Garnet Canyon (to see the central Tetons up close and personal), and Lake Solitude. Make sure you pack all of the necessary supplies, including food, water, and bear spray (we have a few cans we can share). Hike up this 3.8-mile out-and-back trail in the Snow King ski resort at the heart of Jackson, Wyoming. Don't be fooled by the distance- generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of about 2+ hours to complete this very popular, town-accessible trail. The altitude will get your heart pumping, but the views are amazing!
Wind through mountain pastures and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Ride into the Bridger Teton National Forest, climb 2,000 vertical feet, and have views of the Hoback and Snake River Canyon areas in addition to the Teton Range. Mill Iron Ranch is rated the #1 two-hour trail ride in the United States! We've never done this before, but wanted to add this to our list because it seems like an incredible way to see the Tetons!
