Totally up to you! We purposefully chose a Sunday wedding on Labor Day weekend so that we could enjoy a full slate of Jackson activities with our wedding guests. Please see the "Wedding Weekend Schedule" or "Things to Do" sections of the website to learn more about all the options, including group activities and recommendations. Barrett and Daniel will be in Jackson starting mid-July, so if you want to come out early, let's hang!
We highly encourage you to look for lodging in and around Jackson. Both the welcome dinner party on Saturday (which ALL guests are invited to) as well as the Sunday wedding transportation will be based out of downtown Jackson - not to mention there are many fun restaurants, bars, and shops all within walking distance! Please see the "Lodging" section of our website for hotel discounts and recommendations on where to stay. While Teton Village and Wilson offer lodging options as well, please know that these locations are further away from the main wedding activities and local attractions; if you book lodging in Teton Village or Wilson, you will need to find your own way to downtown Jackson in order to attend the welcome dinner party Saturday and catch the transportation to the wedding venue on Sunday afternoon. Doable, just a little extra work!
Come as you are! Wear whatever feels good to you, we really do not care. However, if it's helpful to have a dress code as a frame of reference, we are suggesting Cocktail or Western Chic attire for the welcome dinner party and Cocktail attire for the wedding. Please note that the wedding ceremony and following cocktail hour will be held outside (weather permitting) in a grassy area, so keep that in the back of your mind as you pack your dancing shoes! The reception will be indoors.
We ask that all guests let us know if they are able to join us by Thursday, August 1st at the latest.
If their name is included on your invitation, yes! As much as we love you (and by extension your significant others!), we are unfortunately very space-limited and are trying to keep the wedding weekend small and intimate. We ask that you do not bring anyone who is not listed on your invite.
Grand Teton National Park holds many special memories for us both. Barrett was lucky enough to grow up skiing every winter in Jackson Hole with her family, and even spent a college summer in Jackson working at an art gallery (mainly as an excuse to romp around the Tetons). Daniel came to Jackson with Barrett and her family in 2015 and has returned every year since to either climb in the Tetons in the summer or ski with the Redmonds in the winter. We ultimately chose Jackson to share our love of the outdoors with all the people we love the most. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
