Meet our squad who is walking down the isle with us

Evan

Best Man

I met Evan on his family’s dairy farm just outside of Adrian ND. The first few times we hung out consisted of home run derbies and playing with action figures in the workshop loft. We would stay over at each other’s houses, playing Nintendo and downloading songs. I moved to California and Evan was the only person that came to see me off. We kept in touch and he even came out to California to visit. Evan jokingly asked me when I was planning on moving back to North Dakota. I moved back to work seasonal construction. Evan made it a priority to come visit me every free opportunity he had. Evan has always been there for me in times of need and I’m honored to have him standing next to me as Jess and I start this next chapter in our lives.

Jenna

Maid of Honor

Jenna isn't only the reason why Adam and I met, but also put Fargo on my radar. Freshman year of college is when Jenna started planting the seed of, "you can come to Fargo". Jenna and I met in the 10th grade gym class and ever since then Jenna has been a strong role model. She inspires me to never stay idle and to strive to be something greater. Jenna means the world to me, she has always looked out for my best interest. She is so many things to me, but best friends, tattoo sharers, neighbors, and Maid of Honor for each other are a few of them.

Steven

Groomsman

It was my freshman year of high school when I met Steven. A mutual friend of ours told him, “Hey Steven, this guy Adam watches Family Guy too. You should talk to him”. The rest is history; We’ve been good friends ever since then. We were roommates for a couple years in college and when we weren’t playing Xbox, we were out tearing up the town. He’s always been a friend I could count on. Once during thanksgiving, I was stranded at college without a ride home. I called him and all I heard was, “I’m on my way.” Two hours later, Steven showed up and brought me back to our hometown of Willows CA. My family was out of state, so he brought a plate of food over and hung out with me. He’s a dear friend and I’m proud to have him share in this celebration with us.

Steph

Bridesmaid

In the first grade we were told to find our seats, which were in alphabetical order. So I found "Zimbeck" and next to me was a girl sitting in the desk labeled "Wurzer". So, like any first grader, I asked if she wanted to be friends and it stuck! There are so many good memories looking back on "the good ol' days" that have Stephanie in them. We have hung out for my entire life and I need her calm/laid back attitude help me keep my self together on wedding day.

Matt

Groomsman

Matt and I met in high school band class. He was in the brass section and I played percussion, so we sat on opposite sides of the room. That didn’t keep us from goofing off and being class clowns. Matt has always shared my affinity for gaming and with that, spawned a friendship that has lasted throughout the years. Matt and I were roommates for a number of years after high school. Our humor is almost identical and he never fails to get a laugh out of me. Weather it was a house party gone wrong or right, or a roommate that each of us couldn’t stand, we share a bond that would rival brotherhood.

Ashley

Bridesmaid

Ashley and I met at Bethel University. Ashley, her husband Alec, and our friend Joseph have been "home" for me when I go back to the cities. This group of lovely humans has been a source of consistent encouragement and love. If my tuition at Bethel didn't buy me a good education, it led me to some amazing people. (It did give me a great education, don't worry). In life you should surround yourself with good people, and Ashley is that. She is genuine, confident, driven, creative, and spoils me with love. This woman is a credible resource for good books to read, places to try, decor ideas, wardrobe inspiration, wedding details to pay attention to. She is proficient at life and I am so blessed to have her in my life.

Logan

Groomsman

Logan is a close friend and the closest cousin to my age group. I was always too young to hang out with the older cousins and too old to hang out with the younger cousins. Logan has a big imagination and I’ve learned a lot from him. Whether we were leading battalions of green army men through the grass, only to be blown up by firecrackers, or climbing the gravel pits behind the house on an adventure, he has always made things fun and interesting. We’ve had our bouts of disagreement, but it only helped forge a stronger bond between us. The most important lesson I’ve learned from Logan, is that I will never, EVER win a debate against him. Haha I’m proud to have someone like him be there to support me on our big day.

Laura

Bridesmaid

I met Laura at Bethel during the nursing program. Laura was essential in keeping my sanity intact. She reminded me that my life is so much bigger than the program. We then applied to Sanford together and got an interview on the same day. So we drove up together, stopped at the Moorhead McDonalds to change into our interview outfits and were hired the same day. We made the big move together which made it a fun adventure. Laura continued to keep my sanity intact during the growing pains of becoming a new nurse. Laura has seen me on the nastiest of days, and I want her to be there during my best day.

Greg

Groomsman

I first met Greg in California. He and my sister have been together for a long time. He was a nice guy right from the start and never had a bad word to utter about anyone. I’m proud to have him in my family. He would give me the shirt off his back and never ask for anything in return. Never having had an older brother, I have looked up to him for advice and guidance throughout the years. I shared in celebrating his and my sister’s wedding and it’s an honor to have him share in ours.

Ashli

Bridesmaid

Ashli is Adam's sister and has been so welcoming to me. When you spend time with Ashli it is in the forecast for 100% chance of fun and laughter. My siblings are decades younger than I am and it has been really special to see siblings that spend time together and have fun. I hit the jackpot in the sister in law department. Adam and I both knew that if we wanted to have fun on our wedding day that we were going to need Greg and Ashli to suit up with us.

Caitie

Personal Attendant

A girl that has lived in Canada, California, and Arkansas some how chose Fargo for her start in nursing. THANK GOD. I knew I liked Caitie when she was on orientation at Sanford and was asking for challenges and conquering them. I knew I loved Caitie when she was willing to go on any adventure near or far. Caitie brings life and fun to the party. I see Caitie turn chaos into smooth sailing on a regular basis. Someone asked me, "when you envision your day, who do you want by your side to help?"- it's Caitie that comes to mind.

Miriah

Personal Attendant

Miriah Sister Schumacher. We have only known each other for a year or two, but it feels like we have been friends for a decade. We met through Sanford and we liked each other in the professional manor, but it wasn't until I yelled at her that I needed suction NOW in an emergency that we started hanging out. Miriah is a jack of all trades. She can cook, she can serenade you to any Shania Twain song, she can clean anything and organize any space, and she is a sniper at beer darts. Miriah brings fun to what ever event she goes to.

Chase

Usher

I met Chase when I started the paramedic program in 2014. Within the first week of school, I realized we shared the same sense of humor and we became fast friends. We practiced IV's in class and swapped horror stories about ride alongs. After all the long hours and headaches, we finally graduated. Chase had a brief stint at Minot ambulance service, but promptly returned to Fargo and the shenanigans picked back up right where we left off. We have worked together at FM Ambulance ever since.

Jake

Usher

My first day of Paramedic school, Jake wondered in and sat next to me. I introduced myself and we quickly began swapping jokes and insults (mostly about Chase haha) in the middle of orientation. Jake and I have worked together for about 1 year to date. He's a good friend who I can talk to about anything and we always find common ground when it comes to griping about work.
