How We Met

We describe our relationship in a run-on list of semi-colons.

We first met on a 100º day in swampy Williamsburg, Virginia after taking our William & Mary Law School class of 2019 picture outside IN BLACK SUITS. Fast forward a few months later to Aaron noticing the chill girl in the Star Wars shirt (hint: it was Danielle) while everyone else was being loud and annoying after our first semester's finals. Then Aaron asked Evan to help him get her number and we texted throughout winter break (mostly about Star Wars: Rogue One) and had our first date January 9, 2017 at the Williamsburg Ice Rink. We focused on not falling the whole time, but little did we know we were falling in love. In the years since, we've managed to get through living in W&M's graduate housing with weird roommates; attended political rallies (literally our second date); supported each other through the highs and lows of law school and the Bar (including both getting published *insert sunglasses emoji here*); gone on many, many coffee dates at Alchemy (in Richmond, Virginia); picked up sweet treats at Stella's Grocery (also in Richmond, Virginia); cooked amazing meals together; made Halloween and Christmas cookies annually; taken quick trips to DC, Philly, and New York (including a street couch adventure); eaten a sandwich with fried chicken, mozzarella sticks, and fries in it (shout out to Hoagie Haven in Princeton); survived a pandemic; co-parented our adorable Maltese, Bingo (bork! [thanks to Aaron's parents for letting us adopt him]); listened to a Dungeons & Dragons podcast that made us feel a few too many emotions for what it is; compared notes about our favorite nerdy things and our shared love of formative video game franchises; watched and/or napped through many soccer games; and most recently, bought a house. Of course that paragraph full of semi-colons doesn't begin to cover everything we've been through, and we're so delighted to have you all join us for the start of the next run-on sentence. Thank you all for being a part of this story. Much love and see you soon, Aaron & Danielle
