There's no need to constantly check our website. We'll keep you updated via email for any major changes, such as when transportation arrangements are confirmed. For smaller updates, feel free to visit the site closer to the wedding date.
We're still working on this - we will add some recommendations to the 'Travel' page soon, however, since Riga is a small, walkable city, we recommend for now anywhere in the old town, on the eastern side of the river, or nearby the Esplanāde park (Reimersa iela 1, Rīga, LV-1050).
There will be a bus arranged from Riga to Liepupe on the weddingd day. If prefer to make your own way, please arrive prior to the event starting. Timings will be confirmed in due course - keep your eye on this FAQ or the 'Schedule' page.
We will confirm further details in due course. Keep an eye on this website for details, including here and on the 'Schedule' page.
It ends when it ends! There are no restrictions within the manor, although sound in the garden must be reduced following 23:00. There will be no specific after party, and everyone will be free to enjoy the festivities with us in whatever way they wish after the reception dinner has come to a close.
The intention is to hold the wedding ceremony outdoors, and the reception indoors, subject to the weather. However, the venue is for the exclusive use of our guests throughout, and both indoor and outdoor spaces will be accessible.
Typical July weather in Latvia has an average low of 10°C, with highs of 22°C, around 11 sunshine hours a day, and around 6 - 10 days of rain in the month.
Other than keeping busy celebrating with us, for any free time you may have, our guests will have access to the gardens/manor grounds (including lake), the swimming pool, and the spa complex, from check in to check out. 𝐒𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐭!
Please bring formal attire for the wedding ceremony and subsequent reception. To preserve the formality of the occasion, we request that guests avoid sneakers and athletic garments during both the ceremony and the subsequent dinner. If such items are required for health or safety reasons, please regard those needs as paramount.
We’re still finalising the details regarding the bar arrangements. Stay tuned for updates as we’ll share more information closer to the date!

This refers to the ideas of Plato, something we ended up discussing one day early on in our relationship. In Plato’s philosophy, particularly in works like The Symposium, he suggests that souls are like pure, eternal ideas - beautiful and complete in their original form. These souls, or ideas, existed in perfect unity before being separated by the act of coming into life. In this fragmented state, each soul longs for its counterpart, the missing part that makes it whole again. Life, then, becomes a journey of seeking this reunion - a search driven by love, which Plato saw as the divine force that draws these separated souls back together. Love is not merely about the physical or the fleeting; it is a profound recognition of something eternal in another, a glimpse of the original unity. When souls find each other, they are reminded of their shared origin, and in their union, they experience a reflection of the eternal and the divine. This poetic vision sees human connection as more than chance - it’s the rediscovery of a beautiful idea, one that has always existed and is destined to come together again. We both find this idea wonderful, and see our wedding as the reunion of our 'ideas'.
