Nathanael and Barbara became friends in 2015 after meeting at an open mic in Astoria, Queens, one of the coolest neighborhoods in New York City. At first, songs and styles were admired. Shared values, sense of humor, and cultural taste in so many art forms grew their friendship. In 2016, Nathanael suggested they work on a song together, and they have been playing together ever since. In October 2017, they became a couple as well as bandmates. Nate adopted Barbara's cats Luna and Tabitha, who have since passed on, but are always with them in spirit. In 2023, they adopted Tira and Saffy together. Together they are full time performing artists who advocate for animals, draw, paint, write, compose, play, sing, take classes, teach classes, explore this beautiful city, and love their friends and family. They created a little castle and a big life. Through all of the wild, wonderful stories behind the music, Nathanael and Barbara are family. They are so excited to celebrate with you.
