Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For the ceremony and reception, we encourage all guests to wear whatever they are comfortable in the cocktail style. This could be a cocktail dress or skirt and top for women, and a dress shirt with slacks for men with the option to wear a tie and suit coat. For the dessert party, we would still like it to feel a formal part of the day, but with a more relaxed dress code. Please dress in a semi-formal or dressy casual style. This could be a more casual dress or jumpsuit/pants and top for ladies and a nice pair of pants and a button up top for men.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 9:30am. Please ensure you are to the Marina and Patio at the Grand Floridian by 9:20am. Seating will begin at 9:00am. The reception will immediately follow.

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes and it's free! If not staying at the Grand Floridian, you can drive over. All Disney resorts have a guard booth at the entrance. When you arrive, tell them you are there for the Fitzsimmons/Loots wedding. They will direct you where to park. If you do not have a car, Uber or Lyft is suggested.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and dessert party will be held outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will take place indoors.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1st, 2024

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Please do not feel obligated to give a gift. We are a blended family with most everything we need already. Your presence at the wedding is our present! In the event you still would like to send a gift, we have a small registry on Amazon. Please go to Amazon.com/wedding/search and utilize either of our names.

Question

What if I try to book a room via the couples website and encounter no availability?

Answer

If this happens, please contact Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings Reservation Team at 407-827-6799. They will be able to check for availability, and assist with your reservation. They are available Monday-Friday 8:30am-6pm EST and Saturday & Sunday 8:30am-5pm EST. If the agent states there is no availability, please contact either Brittany or Alan to advise.

Question

There's some downtime between the ceremony and dessert party. What do we do with that time?

Answer

That is free time for you to do whatever you wish. You can return to your room to relax. You can explore the Grand Floridian resort and grounds. You can take the monorail to visit other resorts. (Explanation below).

Question

I want to ride the monorail loop. How do I do this?

Answer

The monorail can be boarded from the 2nd floor of the Grand Floridian lobby. You will go through a little security checkpoint before boarding. The first stop is the Magic Kingdom. You can get off here and see the outside of the Magic Kingdom and the train station, but you will not be able to get in without park admission. The second stop is the Contemporary Resort. The monorail lets you off on the 5th floor but you will need to go down to the 4th floor to exit. There is a beautiful view overlooking Magic Kingdom on the 4th floor just off to the left of the two retail shops - Bayview Gifts and Fantasia and just off the right from Fantasia Market. We highly suggest taking a look as it truly is a beautiful view of the park and the surrounding area. The third stop is the Ticket and Transportation Center. You can stay on at this stop and go to the next stop OR you can choose to disembark this monorail and hop on the monorail that goes to EPCOT. The monorail does a little loop inside of the park before letting passengers off outside the gates of EPCOT (no ticket required), but just like Magic Kingdom, you will not be allowed park access without park admission. You do not need to disembark the monorail; you can stay on to go back to the Ticket and Transportation Center to re-board the Resort Monorail to take you back to the Grand Floridian. The fourth stop is the Polynesian Village Resort. This resort is beautiful as it celebrates the spirit of the South Pacific. The last stop will bring you full-circle and back to the Grand Floridian where you started.
