Things to Do

Chicago is made up of so many unique and fun neighborhoods. Below are some of our favorite places we've enjoyed since living here. We encourage you to explore if possible!

LOGAN SQUARE / HUMBOLDT PARK

Our home neighborhood and the place where we’ll be celebrating all weekend! A beautiful historic area with lush parks, lagoons, and a vibrant Puerto Rican cultural history Lula Cafe, Daisies, Reno, Bungalow by Middle Brow, 606 Trail, HiLo, Spinning J Bakery

WICKER PARK

Vintage shopping, late-night restaurants, and creative energy on nearly every corner Mindy’s Bakery, Ipsento coffee, The Wormhole Coffee, Myopic Books, Truce

LAKEVIEW

A lively neighborhood by the lake with classic Chicago energy, neighborhood bars, and easy access to the waterfront. Lakefront Trail, Kingston Mines, Statue of Goethe (our first date was a picnic in the park next to that statue)

THE LOOP

Chicago’s downtown core filled with iconic architecture, lakefront views, and some of the city’s most famous landmarks Art Institute of Chicago (where Jon proposed!), The Bean, Buckingham Fountain, Chicago Riverwalk, Cindy’s Rooftop

WEST LOOP

Chicago’s restaurant hub filled with trendy spots, rooftop cocktails, and converted warehouse charm Aba, Green Street Smoked Meats, Monteverde, Time Out Market
