FAQs

The Wedding Website of Maria Serino and Brian Neuenschwander
Question

Can I bring a plus 1?

Answer

Not unless we know them well. We have worked really hard to create an intimate celebration featuring all of our most important people. If you have a question about this please call or email. Thanks for understanding.

Question

What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

Answer

While it would be a massive disappointment, please rest assured that there is a plan “B” and even a “C” in place for weather related events. You will be notified if a venue change occurs.

Question

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Answer

The ceremony and some of the reception area will be on grass, so we recommend no super pointy heels or designer shoes... flats, wedges or chunk heels would probably work best!

Question

Is the wedding still happening? How about the Shower? If yes, then When?

Answer

Dear Friends and Family, We are happy and excited to announce that we have been able to secure the same venue for the new date of June 11, 2021! We trust that this will give us enough time for the majority of guests to get vaccinated and restrictions to life a bit more. We are continuing to monitor restrictions and covid related updates closely in case anything changes, but please save this new date and join us in trusting that we will be gathering then to Celebrate our marriage! There will be a wedding shower, so please look out for an announcement regarding that from the bridal party. If you are holding onto gifts, your wait is almost over and you can bring them to either of these events! However if they are cluttering your house, or if you still don’t feel comfortable attending either the shower or wedding, please feel free to send any gifts or cards to us! We love you. Question

When is the RSVP?

Answer

We would appreciate having your RSVP by May 31st.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Children are a big part of our life and for this reason some children are invited and will be included in the invitations/rsvp.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be socially distanced?

Answer

We will try to provide the necessary precautions to make everyone feel comfortable during our event. The ceremony and reception will be outdoors, the seating will be semi separated, the food will be served and we will have sanitizer and masks available. We ask for your cooperation and help in maintaining these precautions.

Question

Will Masks be required?

Answer

As of now we are asking that you bring and wear your mask when you are not seated or eating/drinking. However, As we get closer and restrictions are lessened we may feel more comfortable allowing less mask wearing on the day. For now, we ask that you still bring your mask and have it with you at all times to wear- when not seated or eating/drinking

Question

What is the dollar dance?

Answer

We will be having a dollar dance at our wedding... it is a tradition from many different cultures, called many different things, but what is a “dollar dance”? The symbolism behind dollar dances varies, but typically the money is a gesture to help the couple get started in their new lives together. Generally, it's an upbeat and interactive part of the reception involving music, dancing and bills of money being tossed at or handed to the couple. In Italian tradition the bride carries a silk pouch around and men can pay a small amount (which she puts into the pouch) to dance with her, but for our wedding we don’t want to leave Brian out! Bring a few $1s and have a dance with us!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony is set to begin at 1pm, and the reception will begin at 2:30. If you can not come at 1pm due to work, please feel free to just rsvp for the reception. The tentative schedule is as follows- Ceremony- 1pm Chit chat/move from ceremony to reception- 1:45-2:30 Antipasto/pizza bar/cocktail hour- 2:30 Lawn games/musical entertainment- 2:30-4:00 (music will continue through dinner) Special dances-4-5 Dance floor is open!
