What is the dress code?

Answer

Classy but comfortable (i.e. cocktail attire). Ladies - please leave your stilettos at home. The ceremony is in a redwood forest, so there will be some leaf litter and uneven terrain as we transition from the train to the ceremony site.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

The ceremony will be held at Roaring Camp Railroads at 5401 Graham Hill Road, Felton 95018 The reception will take place afterward at John and Linda Burrough's (Jason's folks) at 1034 Laurent Street, Santa Cruz 95060

Are the ceremony and reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors.

What time should I arrive at Roaring Camp for the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 3:00pm. The train departs at 3:45pm and can't return to the depot once it leaves, so please plan to be there early.

How long is the train ride?

Answer

Round-trip including the ceremony is 1 hour and 45 minutes. We will be back to the depot by 5:30pm

Can we bring our children?

Answer

While we love all your little ones, we really want all the adults to be able to relax and have fun. Children 10 and older who have been invited by name may attend, but we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time for your younger ones.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list based on our budget and the ceremony venue. We will be able to accommodate only those listed on your invitation.

How late will the reception go?

Answer

Santa Cruz noise ordinance requires we turn off the music at 10pm, so at that time or soon after.

What kind of food options will there be?

Answer

We will have beef and fish main dishes, with gluten-free and vegetarian options as well.
