The State of Illinois has limited gatherings to 50 people. In light of this, we have reduced our ceremony and reception to close family only. Invitations with updates will be sent shortly. We appreciate your understanding and support at this time.
Due to the state mandate, we have reduced our wedding to 50 guests. We are still working through day-of practices to ensure everyone's safety. You can learn more about local COVID-19 testing and cases here: https://www.c-uphd.org/champaign-urbana-illinois-coronavirus-information.html. You can find a complete list of Illinois testing sites here: https://dph.illinois.gov/covid19/covid-19-testing-sites
Since we were forced to reduce our guest list to 50, children are not invited. That way, we can host as many adults as we can. Plus, we'd rather give you, and all our other guests, the night away from kids. Adults only, please.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you so we can accommodate the 50-person guideline.
Garden Attire: Think similarly to semi-formal/dressy casual attire like sundresses or cocktail dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, suits, or khakis, tie optional. We want to give you a reason to dress up but also want you to feel comfortable.
For the ceremony, park head-in on the parking lots and on the grass along both sides of the access roads to the garden. We will try to have someone there to assist. Please Note: The museum parking lot is about 2 blocks two north of the wedding site; you will have a longer walk if you park there. For ADA Accessibility: The park welcomes you to drive in and drop someone off at the ceremony site, but you must move your vehicle from the immediate ceremony site for safety reasons.
The average temperature in Mahomet is September is a high of 75 and low of 53.
