Should I exchange USD for Mexican Pesos before I arrive?

Answer

Currency exchange shouldn't be necessary unless you plan on venturing outside the resort. Please make sure to bring small bills for tips. Many American guests will tip resort staff (which we request that you do!) with USD.

What will the weather be like in Puerto Vallarta during my stay?

Answer

Temperatures may reach 80 degrees during the day and get down to the low-60s in the evenings so make sure to pack some warm clothes. February is their dry season so rain is uncommon.

Do I need to download the resort's app?

Answer

Yes, please download the resport's app, "Palladium Hotel Group." This is where you will make reservations for the resort's sit down restaurants, book spa services, view resort activities, etc.

Will I need to make reservations for the resort's restaurants?

Answer

Yes, if you would like to eat at one of the four sit down restaurants at the resort, you will need to make a reservation through the app. *You can make reservations after you have checked into the resort. We recommend you reserve your spots as soon as possible to ensure you are able to get in the time you want.* The resort's sit down restaurants include: Bamboo (Asian cuisine) La Adelita (Mexican cuisine) Portofino (Italian cuisine) Las Terrazas (International cuisine) Reservations are NOT needed at El Bosque, which is the resort's buffet open for breakfast (7 am - 11:30 am) lunch (1 pm - 4 pm) and diner (6 pm - 10:30 pm). They are also NOT needed for Xtra Time Sports Bar (4:30 pm - 5 am), which has basic bar food.

Is the water/ice served at the resort safe to drink?

Answer

Yes, the water at the resort's restaurants and in the large pitchers around the resort are from bottled water and are safe to drink, as well as the ice. However, it's NOT recommended to drink the tap water in the rooms. Room service will provide you with bottles of water and you can request more at any time. (We were fine using the tap water to brush our teeth but some people prefer to use bottle water for that instead) * If you go off resort, only drink bottled water and avoid adding ice to your drinks*
