It takes about 2 hours to get from San Juan to the resort. The following rental car companies are conveniently located at the airport: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and Hertz. There are other companies but they are a shuttle bus away which is annoying. If you rent a car, buy the highway express pass, as they have tolls along the way and it's much quicker to just pay for the pass when you rent a car.
