We’re getting married!

Samuel and I both grew up in Wise County, Virginia, and we always had each other on Facebook, but Samuel was a few years older than me. In 2017, he sent me a simple “Heyyy” message, but I left it unanswered. Life went on, and in 2021, I moved across the country after graduating from Virginia Tech to Colorado for a new job. Out of the blue, Samuel reached out again, this time with something more substantial—he was considering moving to Colorado for the same company. I encouraged him to make the leap, half-jokingly telling him to move so we could finally become real friends, especially since I didn’t know a soul out there. A few days later, to my surprise, Samuel packed up and moved to Colorado. We hung out once—and that was all it took. From that day forward, we’ve been inseparable.
