The Lighthouse Restaurant and Dockbar
Nice seafood (and other thing) restaurant located on Solomons Island. Great part about the Lighthouse is that you can get a great view of the water from their outside eating area!
Calvert Marine Museum
Great local museum located on Solomons Island, 10 miles or so from any of the suggested hotels. They have outside and inside exhibits including otters, stingrays, a lighthouse and prehistoric ocean exhibits. Great for adults and kids!
Patuxent River Naval Air Museum
Another museum located very close to the hotels in the area. Museum is great for those who love military history and exhibits on flight.
The Pier Restaurant
Another good restaurant located on the water! They have great brunch and a wine bar attached to it. Right across the street is a cute little souvenir shop you can explore.
Historic St. Mary's City
Honestly, those who love history and like places like Colonial Williamsburg will like this. Just visit their website, they can tell it better than us.
Washington
This is a stretch, but if you’ve wanted to visit DC it’s an hour and a half drive from where the wedding will take place. There’s so much FREE and awesome stuff to do in DC i.e. Smithsonians, National Mall, the Zoo! If you have an extra day and want to make the trip then we say go for it.
