If you’re up for adventure and a mimosa before noon, this one’s for you. Spend the day cruising on a luxury yacht with all the essentials: breakfast, lunch, snacks, and an open bar (yes, please). You’ll stop to snorkel and float, then head to the charming beach town of Yelapa to check out a waterfall and shop local vendors. It’s the perfect mix of relaxing, exploring, and day-drinking in paradise. We had so much fun! Make sure to pack a BUNCH of sunblock!
For all the fishing fans out there—this one’s a must. Vikingo Charters offers private trips for up to four people, and you can choose how long you want to be out on the water (with the option to extend if the fish are biting!). Mauricio did their inshore fishing trip and had an absolute blast—good fishing, great vibes, and plenty of stories afterward. Food and alcohol aren’t provided, but you’re welcome to bring whatever you want on board (cooler is provided!) It’s the perfect way to spend a day or morning on the Bay.
If you eat one thing in Puerto Vallarta, let it be tacos from Pepe’s. They have ridiculously good tacos that might ruin all other tacos for you forever. We’re still dreaming about them. Go hungry—and thank me later. Definitely try an al pastor taco, it’s what they’re known for! CASH ONLY!
If you’re looking for a special meal during your trip, we highly recommend La Palapa—a beautiful beachfront restaurant located right in the Romantic Zone, just steps from the Malecón. It’s a bit more upscale, with incredible food, cocktails, and stunning ocean views. The beachside seating makes it a perfect spot for a sunset dinner or celebratory night out! When we went, we had the al pastor potstickers, beef short rib, and beef medallions—and they were amazing. Highly recommend!
For a truly unforgettable dining experience, consider visiting Ocean Grill Vallarta, a unique restaurant perched above the ocean just south of Puerto Vallarta. Accessible only by boat, Ocean Grill offers breathtaking coastal views, fresh seafood, and an intimate, relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant has three daily seating times—11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM—and reservations are required in advance, as it tends to book up quickly. Boat transportation is included with your reservation, making the journey part of the adventure. CASH ONLY!
