Bailey and Evan’s story began in junior high, where Evan was Bailey’s crush for two years before they officially became “a thing” on the night of the eighth-grade Valentine’s Day dance. Their friends had carefully planned to leave them alone on the dance floor during the final slow song—and the rest, as they say, is history. Coincidentally, at that very same moment, their parents were seated next to each other at a Valentine’s Day church event. When Bailey’s mom realized who she was sitting with, she exclaimed, “You’re Evan Whitlow’s parents?!?”—already well aware that he was Bailey’s long-time crush. Looking back, it all feels a little meant to be. Over the years, they found their way back to each other (twice), and have been inseparable since the summer before their senior year of high school—proof that the third time really is the charm. Since then, Bailey and Evan have grown up side by side: attending college together at IUPUI, sharing three apartments, and building a home with their beloved cat, Elle, and their dog, Hopper—named after the Stranger Things characters they’ve loved since high school. They are endlessly grateful for the life they’ve built together and can’t wait to celebrate their love with all of you.
