Trevi Fountain
We recommend going here early in the morning to avoid the crowds. For reference, we arrived at 5 AM.
Colosseum & Roman Forum
We recommend doing a guided tour of the Colosseum — it’s molto interessante! The stories, the history, the gladiator drama… it’s way more fun when someone brings it to life.
Pantheon
The Pantheon is very close to the Trevi Fountain. We recommend doing both in one morning!
Vatican Museums
This place is absolutely beautiful! Please note: It does take about 4 hours to get through. There is also a dress code: shoulders must be covered, no shorts, mini skirts or ripped jeans, modest clothing for both men and women, and hats should be removed when entering churches.

This was one of our favorite memories! So much fun learning how to make pasta and have fun with others traveling to Italy. The cooking class link attached is the one that we did. We highly recommend this one. It also includes making 3 types of spritz. Pasta + spritz, the best combo!

If you are looking for a cute town with great food and great views this is about a 2 hour train ride from Rome!
Wine window
The cutest little spot! You order wine through a window and they serve the wine to you through the window. Great place to grab a glass of wine and hangout with family and friends.
Ponte Vecchio
This is the bridge in Florence. Go grab a bottle of wine and head here to watch the sunset!

Bellagio
If you are looking to explore more outside of Rome and go north, we fell in love with Bellagio. This is a beautiful little town on Lake Como. To get here, you’d take the train from Rome to Milan (3 hours), and then the train from Milan to Varenna (1 hour). When in Varenna, you’ll take a ferry over to Bellagio (15 mins).
Salita Serbelloni
This is the most iconic staircase in Bellagio — colorful buildings, boutiques, and a straight sightline down to the lake.
Boat Tour
Going for a boat cruise is always a great option when in Lake Como!
Wine Bar Aperitivo Et Al
The best place to get a glass of wine and sit on the steps and chat with your loved ones!
Venice
You’ll have to take a train ride to get to Venice (3-4 hours from Rome), but this place is beautiful! This is called Venezia in Italy and the main area to stay in is San Marco.
Ponte di Rialto
A beautiful bridge in Venice overlooking one of the best views.
Ostaria Antico Dolo
This is a local spot they are mainly known for their pasta.
Gondola Ride
A Gondola ride is a MUST when going to Venice. It’s such a beautiful and peaceful experience. Great way to see the best views in Venice.
L' Bacaro de' Bischeri
This place is known for their sandwiches!
Terrazza Sommariva
This place has great Italian food! Order their Cacio e Pepe, they prepare it in front of you!
Positano
If you are feeling like going a little further, head to the Amalfi Coast and check out Positano. This place is built into the cliff side!
Arienzo Beach Club Positano
This beach club is one of the most popular to go to. You can pay for a couple lounge chairs and lay in the sun, order some drinks, and even food! Best way to spend a relaxing day and the views are amazing!
Pupetto Beach Club Positano
This is another beach club that is normally less crowded and more secluded. Still great views, drinks, and food!
Boat Cruise
Highly recommend taking a boat cruise to see Capri for a day. As well as the blue grotto and see the beautiful blue water.
La Pergola
This place had great pizza!
Ristorante Bruno
This place is known for their seafood. We loved this place! There’s also a beautiful view from this restaurant. Try the Lobster Linguine!
Casa e Bottega
This place is normally always busy but they have the BEST breakfast.
Music On the Rocks
If you are looking for night life, this is the place to go! It’s a bar built into the rocks. Great drinks and fun dance floor!
Rent A Vespa
If you are feeling like taking a cruise to a near by coast town or just riding around in Positano, we highly recommend renting a Vespa. They are so much fun!
