Maid of Honor
Megan and I grew up in good ole' Harvest together. We've been friends since we can remember, and no matter how long it's been since we've last seen each other, we always pick up right where we left off. When it came time to decide on a wedding party there was no question who would be my maid of honor.
Best Man
Also known as "Tedd". My little in 20J and Phi Mu Alpha brother. He started out in Southerners as a saxophone player, and when he moved to the dark side of 20J, I knew I had to have him in my family line. We have grown even closer together thanks to Gabbie and Bailey being attached at the hip.
Bridesmaid
Gabbie and I met through band during her freshman year. She started as a clarinet player who had a pretty big crush on Ethan (a groomsmen and Avery's 20J "little"). Once she moved to the dark side her sophomore year and marched 20J we became instant best friends. I estimate 91% of our texts are "I miss you" and "X more weeks until I see you again".
Groomsman
Also known as "Cabbage". Friends since the beginning. They met during their rookie band camp for 20J and eventually became roommates. Jacob was always the player and person to look up to.
Bridesmaid
Lauren was my Delta Zeta "big sister". We have equally sarcastic attitudes and share a love of almost everything - books and coffee in particular. She has been my "ride or die" and will always be like the real big sister I never had!
Groomsman
Also known as "Sponge". Another 2014 rookie 20J member turned roommate. Always has the right things to say and the best jokes. An amazing musician I'm glad to call my friend and brother.
Bridesmaid
Kayla and I became fast friends in high school. I somehow persuaded her to go to Jacksonville State with me and we were roommates freshman year, but lost touch after. We eventually came back together and are inseparable even though we live 8 hours apart.
Groomsman
AKA "Soapdish". A fellow band director, we marched the tuba together, he was my sectional leader in 20J. When I pledged Phi Mu Alpha, he took me as his "little brother". He's been a shoulder to lean on for years, and I'm glad to have him stand next to me on this day.
Bridesmaid
Julia and I met during auditions for Southerners Color Guard and she was the sweetest person right off the bat. She was roommates with another of my bridesmaids Jaci. Julia now has the sweetest husband and baby boy to keep her busy, but she always finds the time for me.
Groomsman
Even though we were born on the same day, we didn't really become friends until 6th grade. Ever since then we've been close buddies. My most laid back groomsman, but always super reliable and there for anyone who needs him.
Bridesmaid
Jaci and I met marching in the Southerners Color Guard, and she was roommates with another one of my bridesmaid Julia! All three of us were in the same family tree.
Groomsman
We've been friends since forever. We met in Cub Scouts when we were about 6. We went to Jacksonville State together where we marched 20J together and were roommates freshman year. Micah, Austin and I were all in band together at Oak Grove High School and we've been a good friend group since 6th grade.
Junior Bridesmaid
Makayla is Avery's little sister who I have watched grow up over the years. From meeting her at her 8th birthday party to now, I'm so excited of the relationship that's formed between us. As an only child, I've always dreamed of having a little sibling, and I feel like I do with Makayla.
Groomsman
Also known as "Chateau". Another 20J brother turned roommate. Funny, goofy, creates a light in the room. He's an amazing tuba player turned best friend and I can't imagine life, or my wedding, without him.
