FAQs

The Wedding Website of Heather Zehr and Patrick McCormick
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No, but we do prefer that you wear clothes. Much of the venue is unpaved so you may want to leave those stiletto heels in the car. Very vibrant, bright colors are encouraged! The wedding is peacock themed and the wedding colors are blue, green, purple, and fuscia! Feel free to wear those colors, feathers, bingles and bangles or just wear whatever makes you feel like YOU. : )

Question

Can I smoke?

Answer

Please, respect the designated smoking areas or Heather & Patrick will have to pay a fine!

Question

Where should I park? Can I leave it overnight?

Answer

Follow the signs. There are plenty of parking spaces at the venue. If the closest lot is full, you may drop people off and take a short 2-4 minute walk. Handicap parking is available. Do not drink and drive! You can leave a vehicle overnight but it must be recovered by 9AM promptly or it will be towed. It would probably be better to just take a shuttle if you plan to drink.

Question

What's up with the shuttle?

Answer

There will be a shuttle running to and from the AmericInn by Wyndham Wabasha, 150 Commerce Dr and the Lake Pepin Campground, 1010 Locust St. Here is a link to the shuttle schedule for pick ups and drop offs throughout the day/night: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1u4tpJnsQrs3epeYGf0wCNHabDUjqQkFEvjXQn0clgjQ/edit?usp=sharing

Question

Is there plumbing?

Answer

Yes, there are REAL bathrooms with running water!

Question

Will there be yard games?

Answer

Yes, there will be bean bag toss, giant Jenga, yard dice, and Kuub! There will also be a bonfire!

Question

What's the bar situation?

Answer

There will be an open bar but you should bring some cash to tip your bartenders. There will be beer, wine, and liquor. Some specialty drinks will be available but no shots will be poured. Any alcohol being "self-served" can be confiscated by the bartenders. There will be some nonalcoholic beverage choices as well. Drink responsibly and plan a ride; we would like to remember this night for good things.

Question

Why is dinner before the ceremony?

Answer

We decided to feed everyone before the ceremony so we could get straight to the party after we tie the knot. There will be walking tacos available after the ceremony to keep you going.
