We’re getting married!

It began in 2020, when Delaney decided to move to Austin on a total whim. It was the middle of the pandemic, she didn’t know any Texans, and had no real plan—just a gut feeling that this city might lead to something good. (Spoiler: it really did.) Enter Delaney's random Facebook-group roommate Rachel (shoutout to the universe for that one), who quickly became one of her best friends. She also happened to be dating Jake’s friend and roommate Tucker, and before we knew it, our paths started to cross. A lot. We became fast friends—constantly hanging out, going on adventures, and pretending we totally weren’t secretly into each other. (We were.) For months, we danced around it, both of us doing a very convincing job of acting cool and casual, none of our friends the wiser. Eventually, in May of 2021, we couldn’t pretend anymore—and just like that, the friendship turned into something much more. Fast forward a couple of years, and we found ourselves on a dream vacation in St. Maarten with the same friends who brought us together. After a perfect day of snorkeling, sunshine, and sailing around the island, Jake proposed at sunset. It was beautiful, and completely us. These days, we live in South Austin with our beloved dog-daughter, Mia, who has fully taken over the house (and our hearts). Our life is a mix of cooking yummy meals together, tending to our veggie garden, long walks with Mia, and enjoying all the quality time that comes with working from home. We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other, and even luckier to get to share this next chapter with all of you. Thanks for being part of our story—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
