Charlottesville has two airports local to the town. Richmond is the nearest major airport which is an estimated hour and 15 minutes from Charlottesville. If you are looking for a cheaper roundtrip flight and don't mind the commute, this is the one!

Charlottesville Albemarle Airport

Charlottesville Albemarle Airport is the local airport to Charlottesville. These flights may be more expensive and also will most likely involve a layover. However, it is situated just 10 minutes from downtown Charlottesville and has a couple rental car options. If you want an easy airport that is right in town and don't mind paying a little extra, this is the one!

Train

Charlottesville Station

Charlottesville has its own Amtrak location. Also a cheap and easy option if coming from out of town. The station lets you off right in the center of downtown Charlottesville where food and drink is just a short walk away!
