Best Place To Stay?
Answer
River View Lodge or 40 Club is the closest to our house. But our list provides a variety of options for those who want to explore the area. Also there is plenty of small resorts within 15 minutes of our house. We are in lakes country!

What is there to do in the area?
Answer
Guests visiting the Aitkin–Crosby area will find plenty to explore in Minnesota’s beautiful lake country. Outdoor lovers can enjoy the scenic trails and crystal-clear mine lakes at Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area, perfect for hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and swimming. Downtown Crosby Minnesota offers charming shops, local dining, and a laid-back small-town feel, while nearby Aitkin Minnesota provides additional restaurants, golf courses, and access to countless lakes for fishing and boating. Guests can also explore the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway, visit local resorts, or simply relax and take in the peaceful northwoods atmosphere that makes this area so special.

What airport options are there?
Answer
Brainerd Regional Airport is 25 minutes away with a daily flight from Minneapolis. Duluth International Airport is 90 minutes away with daily flights from Chicago and Minneapolis. Minneapolis Airport is 2 hours from Aitkin Minnesota.

How far away are you from Brainerd?
Answer
30 minutes! Brainerd is a great summer vacation destination in Minnesota. Aitkin sits east of Brainerd on the Cuyuna Range in the heart of lakes country.

Why our house for our big day?
Answer
We picked our beautiful home that sits on the southern edge of Aitkin because we are nestled in the northwoods of Minnesota on 5 acres. We will have a large tent, our large shop, campfire, yard games, and so much more! We even will have a portable bar! We also have rented an air conditioning luxury bathroom that is pretty amazing! We also have beautiful sunsets that overlook our ponds and the dense Norway pines.

Answer
Yourself!! We will have food, snacks, non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. But we welcome you to bring anything you would like!

What is the weather like in Aitkin?
Answer
In August our daytime highs are around mid 80s during the daytime and low 60s at night. We recommend packing a sweatshirt and pants just in case the evening is cool. We will have a large campfire with s’more’s!

We Want to Camp Where Can We Camp?
Answer
Camping at Riverview Lodge is within a minute of our house! Being in the north woods of Minnesota we are located within 20 minutes of many campgrounds! Riverview Lodge offers full hookups on all their sites overlooking Ripple River.

What Major Towns are Close to Aitkin?
Answer
Brainerd: 30 minutes. Grand Rapids: 55 minutes. Duluth: 90 minutes, Hibbing: 90 minutes, St Cloud: 75 minutes, Minneapolis: 2 hours. We are 4 hours from Grand Forks or 70 minutes from Wadena, our hometowns!

Yes, children are welcome to attend our wedding celebration!

What happens if it rains?
Answer
Rain or shine, the celebration continues! We have a large tent and even LARGER shop!!!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes, there will be parking available. We live on a dead end private roadway. Parking will be on our north driveway and along the road. We do encourage people to carpool.

Yes, we are doing a very short private ceremony prior to the start of our wedding event at 4pm.

We have a buffet being catered by Block North Brew Pub! We have a delicious variety of BBQ entrees and sides. Also they are brining a portable bar. We will also have snacks too!

Are pets allowed?
Answer
Unfortunately as much as we love your furry family members we ask no pets allowed. There are options for boarding if you can’t find anything in your hometown. Hershey's Howliday Inn is located 5 miles south of Aitkin and Happy Tails Daycare & Boarding is located 15 minutes west of Aitkin just outside of Deerwood/Ironton.

Are you guys planning on doing anything the day before your big day?
Answer
Yes! We are planning on golfing and going out for supper. Let us know if you’re interested in joining us! Text either Andrew or Karlie!
