Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be standing by our sides as we say I do!

Riley Glau

Maid of Honor

I am so lucky to have gotten to live most of my life with Riley by my side! It all began as our mom's being best friends and forcing us to be friends. We may not have attached to each other right off the bat, but in Junior High, we realized we would be doing life together forever! In junior high we won "Connected at the Hip" for the yearbook, and then again our senior year of High School. There was never a sleepover that didn't drive our parents crazy with us laughing our heads off at full volume at any point in the night. I got to stand by her side as she said I do, and I am so thankful to have her right by my side as I say my I do's too.

Eli Kanamu

Best Man

My best man and a friend who has been there since the beginning. Growing up as neighbors on Locals Lane, we spent our childhood building forts in the real world and in Minecraft, and belting out Red Hot Chili Peppers songs together. Eli is a truly dear friend of mine. No matter how much time passes between visits, we are always able to reconnect and start joking around instantly as if no time has passed at all. I couldn't imagine standing up there without him by my side.

Celeste Staples

Bridesmaid

I always tell people that I moved to Seattle to meet Azeem and ALSO to meet Celeste. After touring the apartment, I told Celeste I would think about it. Did I think about it? Of course not, because I immediately knew that I wanted her to move in. Anyone who knows me, knows her name because I have not stopped talking about her since that day. We always find a way to have silly times together, even while now living 1,305 miles away from each other (SAD). If you are looking for us, we are probably drinking *too much* coffee and giggling about little things.

Amir Foy

Groomsman

My older brother and groomsman. As the third-born, Amir enjoyed being the baby of the family for seven years—right up until I arrived and most notably by accidentally peeing on his face when I was an infant. Despite that rocky start, Amir became my go-to guide for the great outdoors, showing me skiing, mountain biking, and camping. In return, I taught him the most important skill of all: how to grow out his hair.

Savannah Hastings

Bridesmaid

My dear college bestie. We met on day 1 of our freshman orientation which only feels fitting for the impact she had on me for all the days to come. She always has had a way to make me feel included and in college it was even to the point where her dorm RA's thought I lived there too. Savannah's laughter and joy will always be of my very favorite parts of Cal Poly. I am so thankful she didn't give up on me when she tripped and reached for my arm that first week of college and I instead laughed and did not help at all.

Shahid Foy

Groomsman

As the middle child of us four, Shahid was my protector growing up and still looks out for me today. He’s the one who taught me the importance of being creative and working hard in school, though we still make plenty of time to play video games together. He’s the one who "accidently" held me up as a baby when I famously peed our brother Amir’s face.

Summer Tietje

Bridesmaid

My “little sister"! Summer has been in my life since the very beginning of hers. From being neighbors, not just once, but twice, we’ve grown up together through every stage of life. What started as forced sleepovers and an annoyed sister phase turned into one of the sweetest and most constant friendships. What a seriously special thing it is to continue to grow with someone who has been there with you through it all.

Alfonzo Zuno

Groomsman

Alfonso was my first friend from middle school. Back then, we were just two kids with long hair and "skater vibes" who weren't actually any good at skating. Our friendship officially kicked off when he asked what happens if you dig straight down in Minecraft, so I made him a YouTube video to show him the ropes. From those early gaming days to living together after college in a house full of friends consisting of — Eli, Alfonzo Zuno, and Alfonso Vasquez also a very large and hairy Bernese mountain dog Bruno.

Megan Kurt

Bridesmaid

Friends through so many phases of life, beginning in elementary school when I would get mad at her for helping my mom with the dishes instead of playing with me (how rude of her), and continuing through the fun and pain that was high school water polo. No matter how much time has passed, every time I see Megan, it feels like home. Megan is such a fun and constant friend and has always reminded me to be myself.

Alfonso Vasquez

Groomsman

Growing up we called him Yayo. Alfonso and I's friendship grew as we leaned on each other after the loss of our friend, Jefte. During highschool we were rugby teammates then post-college roommates. I’ll never forget the time Eli and I took over Yayo's room. All squeezed into one bedroom—Yayo in his queen bed while I took the pull out couch and Eli on a deflated air mattress. The pan was always full from his late-night quesadillas, we were supposed to make millions off that quesadilla recipe.

Madeline Kurfess

Bridesmaid

The sweetest human you will ever meet. Madeline and I were both Child Development majors in college so we would see each other in class, but our friendship grew when we went on a trip with our church to Portugal. Thanks to a snow storm in Amsterdam that left us sharing a twin size bed with one pillow, our friendship solidified by spending the night giggling and sharing our life stories. Our friendship continued with early morning coffee (Did I mention that she is the one that convinced me to like coffee?!) dance parties before class. Madeline's friendship feels just like that.

Skylar Drakos

Groomsman

From childhood lightsaber duels on Locals Lane to wrestling boulders today, Skylar has been a great friend since day one. He’s the strongest climber I know and the person responsible for getting me into the sport. Fun fact: as a kid, his favorite snack at my house was a literal spoonful of sugar.

Matt Resignolo

Groomsman

Even though we grew up in the same town, it took a shared love for the rock climbing to finally bring us together. From the red rocks of Moab to the peaks of Wyoming and Colorado, there is no one I trust more at the other end of the rope—partly because Matt is the kind of partner who can keep me laughing whether we’re halfway up a rock face or stuck in a long car ride. I’m honored to have him standing with me on another big summit: the altar.
