Shuttle
July 25, 2024 7:00 am - 2:00 pm
We are gathering numbers to confirm bus rides to the ceremony venue. Please fill in this form if you are interested: https://forms.gle/yiyiR9NRgygC5coB8 The bus will depart from Sanur area (TBC - likely Hyatt Regency) at 7:00 AM to arrive promptly by 8:00 AM at Griya Taksu. Return journey to Sanur will be scheduled for 2:00 PM. Please note that the bus operators won't be able to provide baby seats. For families requiring this amenity, we recommend booking a Bluebird taxi or ride share through the Gojek or Grab app (it should be no more than 200,000 IDR/~$20 AUD each way). Alternatively, you can also arrange private transfers - our recommendation is below.
Rental Car
If you need private transfers, a driver or a rental car, our friend Putre can help. Contact them via Whatsapp and quote our wedding.
Travel Note
We highly recommend installing GOJEK and GRAB apps. They are simple to use and you can book bike or car rides, food delivery, massages and groceries and pharmacy items anywhere on the island.
Flight
July is peak tourist season in Bali. We suggest locking in your flights soon, if you can.
Travel Note
You can purchase your visa when you land at the airport or online, within 90 days of your arrival. A 30-day tourist visa for Australian passport holders is IDR 500k (AUD 50). https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/
Travel Note
Most places in Bali take card payments so you should be covered. However, you should still set aside some cash for Gojek ride payments and when you are eating out at local places. Having cash for tips is also handy, although not customary. Please avoid small money changer shops. We recommend withdrawing cash directly from an ATM or head to an authorised money changer chain (e.g., BMC or Dirgahayu Valuta Prima in Sanur). $1 AUD is approximately 10,000 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). $50 per day should be more than enough cash per person.
Travel Note
We recommend grabbing a SIM card at the airport as you land and installing Whatsapp for easy comms while in Bali. There are a number of SIM provider kiosks and you will be able to get a tourist pack, which will give you a local number and internet data - you'll need this to register for Grab/Gojek apps. We recommend Telkomsel as they have the widest coverage in Bali.
