For men, traditional mass-appropriate attire at a minimum requires slacks, a collared shirt, and dress shoes with socks. For women, traditional mass-appropriate attire at a minimum entails shoulders covered, a modest neckline, and a modest hemline of a dress or skirt which typically falls close to or beyond the knee while standing. For both men and women, clothing should not have holes or tears, and should be at least a step above casual wear.
Women have the choice to wear a mantilla (also known as a chapel veil), during mass. Mantillas are not required, though to wear one is a sign of humble reverence of being in Our Lord’s presence, and is a long-standing tradition of the Catholic Church.
The bridesmaids will be wearing light pink dresses and the groomsmen will be wearing black suits.
