A cute park with great views of the city and south lake union.
The best view of Seattle during sunset. There's often live music and you can see the skyline, puget sound and Mount rainier. If you are looking to walk here note the park is at the top of very steep hills.
Madison park beach is one of many beaches located on the Seattle side of Lake Washington. If you're looking to get away from the city energy without traveling far, Madison Park is one of many cute areas along Lake Washington. We live on Lake Washington and it's filled with beaches, cute restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops.
Seward park is another great beach on Lake Washington. There is a beach and has a 2 mile loop that you're able to walk around. Another place to escape the city without having to drive too far.
Our favorite Thai food in Seattle
A fun doughnut spot with boba drinks.
The best Bagels!! Be prepared for a longer wait time. There are a bunch of cute shops around the area.
One of our favorite coffee roasters. The building has 4 stories filled with cute seating, a record store and a roof top patio.
Our favorite sandwich place! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. This restaurant is farm to table and has amazing food.
Golden Gardens is located on the puget sound and has amazing view of the water and the Olympic national park from across the sound.

The ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge island takes about 35 minutes and they run all day. You can either walk on or drive on the ferry. On Bainbridge island there are cute coffee shops and bakeries, wineries and vintage stores. It's a great way to spend a day away from the city.

Leavenworth is a Bavarian town surrounded by mountains about 2 hours away. To get there you can drive through a mountain pass or take an Amtrak train to and from Seattle. There's a lot to do in the town and hiking outside of the town. One of our infamous alpine lakes is located outside of Leavenworth- Colchuck lake. It is a hard rated hike.
Mount Rainier National Park is the 5th largest mountain in the lower 48 states. It is glaciated and snow covered year around. There are many hikes to do in the area. The more moderate rates hikes are Skyline Loop and Tolmie Peak. When hiking at higher elevations always read trip reports. These trails are snow covered often into July and early August. You may need a reservation for entry into the park, and the standard national park pass is required for entry.
Mt Baker is hands down one of our favorites. This is the mountain we chose to get married at. Our first ski trip was at Mount baker and throughout the years we have come back for skiing, snowshoeing and hiking. The drive to Mount baker is a bit farther so normally would suggest an overnight trip. There are a range of hikes but some require very little hiking for the views. Artist Point is a short walk to an incredible viewpoint. Another hike we would suggest is Chain Lakes.
This is a hard rated hike to a waterfall and glacier lake. The trail is 7.6 miles, with 2700 feet elevation gain.
