Bride’s daughter She’s been away from “home” (10 hours away) since graduating high school. Watching her grow and spread her wings has been the most rewarding time as a parent. She’s a very determined person who will always fight for what she believes in. Lexi and her mom are very close and talk almost every day. Lexi has an old soul and reminds Betsy of her Grandpa Bob. If you like the wedding invitations, thank her, she’s the one who designed them!

Friend of the bride & groom She’s the life of the party! She’s the friend Betsy never knew she was missing in her life. Cara has an infectious smile and will always make you laugh. Mike likes to tease her and she says he’s the brother she never had. We enjoy hanging out to play Farkle or grabbing a drink! You’ll catch her having a great time on the dance floor!!

Sister-in-law to the groom She’s been the most welcoming person to Betsy (and her kids) as they have become part of the family. She’s always willing to help out. One of these days we’re going to go on the beach vacation we always talk about! Lucas will tell you she makes the best tacos and salsa! Betsy is excited to gain such a wonderful sister-in-law! (Jessie is also!)

Childhood friend of the bride Not many people can say they’re still friends with someone from 3rd grade but here we are! There are many stories that could be told from their years growing up together! Dawn has a very kind heart and will always be there for the ones she loves. If you tell her a joke, it might take her a minute to get it but that’s what makes her who she is and we wouldn’t change her!

Friend of the Bride She worked with Betsy for over 20 years but they became friends early on. The stories these two could tell are countless! Lisa is a friend who has proven that she will do whatever she can to help out and it’s very much appreciated!! They’ve been through many life events together. Both Lisa & Betsy have 1 son who are named Lucas/Lukas!
Sean Donahue
Best Man
Friend of the groom Sean and Mike have been friends since high school. They used to spend time ‘studying’ playing Ping Pong in the basement (ask Sean about the light switch). They have stayed close over the years even though Sean lives in Texas. Though Sean may be a bit of an instigator or influencer, he does it in an innocent way. And he always has your back.

Bride’s son Lucas has grown into quite the young man and we’re very proud of him! He is loved by everyone that meets him and will always find time to crack a joke or make you smile. He spends his spare time in the gym! He just graduated from high school and will be attending Augustana in the fall. In fact, we have to pull him away from football practice to be here for the wedding! He’ll likely be tearing up the dance floor with Cara!
Pete Aydt

Groom’s brother Pete is Mike’s youngest brother, a very sports minded guy. They have played softball and basketball together over the years, as well as donating money in fantasy sports leagues. A favorite time of year for them is March Maddness, when they get together to watch NCAA basketball. (ask Pete about the ‘Beeramid’) Pete has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. I am sure it will be on display. I couldn’t ask for a better brother (Steve may disagree, LOL)

Groom’s brother Steve is Mike’s middle brother. He has always been reliable and steady. Mom and Dad always put him in charge when the boys were younger. He used to be an athletic trainer in the Cubs organization. When not working Steve loves to spend his time grilling, camping, kayaking or looking for Sasquatch (he may have found him?!?)

Friend of the groom Aaron is another longtime friend. He, Sean and Mike were almost inseparable during high school. Mike and Aaron grew up playing baseball and have played together in various adult athletic leagues. He is very reliable and is a voice of reason; ie, the responsible one.

Groom’s niece She loves playing sports. However, when the softball cleats come off, she’s very much a girly girl who’s growing up way too fast! She also loves to FaceTime with her friends.
