The Bronx Zoo is a zoo located within Bronx Park in the Bronx, a borough of New York City. It is one of the largest zoos in the United States by area, comprising 265 acres (107 ha) of park lands and naturalistic habitats separated by the Bronx River. On average, the zoo has 2.15 million visitors each year as of 2009. The Bronx Zoo is world-renowned for its large and diverse animal collection, and its award-winning exhibitions. The zoo is part of an integrated system of four zoos and one aquarium managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), and it is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty Tour. The whole tour take a few hours, the Statue of Liberty sits on a small park that you walk through before you get to the Statue itself. You can also get on the Staten Island Ferry, which is free, and goes past the Statue if you don't want to tour the grounds.
Go to Glen Street Train station and buy a round trip ticket (Peak tickets are between 6-10 AM and 4-8 PM on weekdays. If you're not traveling on the train at those times DON'T buy peak).Take the westbound train (it'll be off the platform that is on the opposite side of the street from Burger King).Stay on the train until it arrives at Jamaica Station and exit here. When at Jamaica you will transfer to a new train to go to Penn Station; the announcer will say on the train which platform the train will be on, the platforms are numbered. If you didn't hear which platform, the platforms have screens that say where the train is going.Once on the train to Penn Station stay on the train until you arrived; it's the last stop.When at Penn you can exit to go to street level or take a subway. Every 10 blocks walked is roughly 1/2 miles. If you select transit it will tell you what subway train to take (number and color), how many stops to take it and what street to exit.
The Montauk Point Light is a lighthouse located adjacent to Montauk Point State Park, at the easternmost point of Long Island, in the hamlet of Montauk in the Town of East Hampton in Suffolk County, New York. The lighthouse was the first to be built within the state of New York, and was the first public works project of the new United States. It is the fourth oldest active lighthouse in the United States. Long listed on the National Register of Historic Places, in 2012, it was designated as a National Historic Landmark for its significance to New York and international shipping in the early Federal period. The lighthouse, which is located on Turtle Hill at the easternmost tip of Long Island, at 2000 Montauk Highway, is a privately run museum, and is not part of Montauk Point State Park. Entry to the lighthouse costs $12.00 for an adult, $8.00 for seniors and $4.00 per child.

The American Museum of Natural History (abbreviated as AMNH), located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City, is one of the largest natural history museums in the world. Located in Theodore Roosevelt Park across the street from Central Park, the museum complex comprises 28 interconnected buildings housing 45 permanent exhibition halls, in addition to a planetarium and a library. The museum collections contain over 33 million specimens of plants, animals, fossils, minerals, rocks, meteorites, human remains, and human cultural artifacts, of which only a small fraction can be displayed at any given time, and occupies more than 2 million square feet (0.19×106 m2). The museum has a full-time scientific staff of 225 (including Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson), sponsors over 120 special field expeditions each year, and averages about five million visits annually.
See the USS Intrepid an aircraft carrier that was launched in 1943 and served during WWII and the Cold War, also serving as a recovery vessel for NASA in the 1960s. It was retired in 1974. On the aricraft carrier is also planes from various eras of history and the Space Shuttle Enterprise. There is also a Concorde aircraft here. On the other side of the dock is the USS Growler; the only guided missile submarine open to the public.
