Jake and Lexi met through a mutual friend while they both lived in Denver, Colorado, at a Mexican restaurant celebrating a birthday. Before the night ended, he asked for her phone number and they were all set for their first date -- a hike at Red Rocks with the dogs and a beer at Denver Brewing Company afterward. They've since agreed it was the best first date either had ever been on. And that's how this exciting journey began ♥️

7 months after moving to Portland, Jake and Lexi traveled to Long Beach, California for Christmas with his family. The day they arrived, the two took bicycles to Belmont Brewing's patio to soak up the afternoon sun. He offered to walk along the beach together as the sun began to set -- and as they walked, the conversation turned to the future. Next thing Lexi knew, Jake went down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes, of course. Cue the champagne popping!
