Matron of Honor
Elissa and Amanda met in 8th grade at LCA and have been friends for over 30 years. Throughout the years, they have spent countless hours chatting on the phone and talking about their feelings. Elissa loves silly cat antics and running like a gazelle.
Best Man
Derick's little brother. If it rains on the wedding day, better hope there is a bathtub nearby, so that he can get in for safety. The bouncers will be checking people at the door to make sure they don’t have a “My Buddy” doll, because he will have a meltdown, thinking it’s Chucky.
Bridesmaid
Rosanna and Amanda met through the Thursday Night Dinner (TND) group. Rosanna shares Amanda's love of witty honesty and is willing to externally process all the ideas and feelings. They laugh together often and love each other dearly.
Groomsman
Dustin is another good buddy who went all through school with Derick. Dustin has been a big influence in Derick's spiritual growth over the last year or so. If they play golf before the wedding, Derick will just have to make sure they aren’t on the same team. Because then, Dustin will spend the whole service telling how Derick let him down.
Bridesmaid
Ayla and Amanda met through the Thursday Night Dinner (TND) group. After knowing each other a couple of weeks, they decided to embark on this friendship with an international trip to Spain. They solidified their friendship across the ocean while visiting awe-inspiring cathedrals, breathtaking beaches, and delicious restaurants. They catch up on long walks through parks.
Groomsman
Derick's friend and roommate. Somehow, they found themselves living together in their mid-late 40’s, comparing their aches and pains and seeing who snores the loudest. It’s definitely him. But, if there’s one buddy Derick can get along with, well enough to live with, it’s Shannon. It’s always good to have someone to talk about the glory days with.
Bridesmaid
Molly and Amanda met at one of Amanda's many game nights when their mutual friend Ty brought her after meeting at church. Her bubbly personality instantly won a place in everyone's hearts. They enjoy snow day escapades and friend adventures.
Groomsman
Derick and Bruce have been close friends since the 5th grade. It’s too bad Hollywood never discovered him because he could’ve won 2 Oscars and an Emmy for his performance in a movie they made in high school. He also put on a pretty good lip sync performance of “Pour Some Sugar on Me” by Def Leppard, when they were in 5th grade.
Bridesmaid
Beth and Amanda were college roommates their last two years at Asbury College. Both of them wish they could have had all four years together. They bond over talking about education and life's ups and downs. The annual Girls' Weekends are highlight of the year.
Groomsman
Brent is Derick's UFC fight watching partner in crime. Brent has had a big influence in Derick's professional career. It’s pretty bad though, when the HR Manager always puts people up to antics that might get them fired. Derick has numerous examples to prove this.
Bridesmaid
Jessica and Amanda met at college and lived together their senior year in the Kenyon House at Asbury. They share a similar sense of humor, love of travel, and gift of hospitality. Jessica is also a founding member of the Girls' Weekend Trio.
Groomsman
Derick and Chris first met when they were 4 years old, and Derick was trying to get him to play “Crazy 8’s” card game. There is probably not one subject they agree on, but Chris seems to be ok, despite being wrong in all of his beliefs. Also, he never did learn how to play “Crazy 8’s”.
Man of Honor/Cellist
Jason and Amanda met in college and were good acquaintances. Fast forward a few years, they were in the same singles group at church and founding members of the Classic Group. They are best of friends, sharing a love of the ocean, silly antics, their doggos, and hours of conversation.
